3.3.1 Seamlessly position the compressor base on the designated foundation, meticulously placing wedge-shaped shims beneath it to perfectly adjust and achieve the desired unit level.
Skillfully alternate two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring precise leveling, and spot weld these wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points for optimal stability.
These wedges, crafted and installed by the user, should be tailored to the environment and meticulously finished to ensure even contact with the inclined surface.
The robust bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve impeccable leveling. The unit's axial level precision should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should maintain 0.10/1000mm accuracy.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with precision. Prior to alignment, ensure the following vital steps are completed:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to secure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Expertly detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane’s flatness is pristine, free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts for easy loosening and motor adjustments;
6) Have ample, pristine stainless steel gaskets ready to fully support the motor's foot. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for fine-tuning adjustments;
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter (0.01mm accuracy) for precise alignment, as prepared by the customer;
8) Prepare and use a support bracket for the dial indicator, as displayed in the diagram below, for maximum accuracy;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to securely mount the dial indicator on the hub's edge and position the probe on the compressor's wheel hub outer edge;
10) Meticulously adjust the adjustment bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation maintained at 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclude by securely fastening the motor foot bolts, then review both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling to ensure precision.;
12) After a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are meticulously set, tighten the anchor bolts. Post initial mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten these bolts to ensure enhanced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, requires protection from solid or liquid intrusions that could cause significant damage. Ensure that all connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and adhere to the steam corrosion standards of the system. Rectify any pipelines falling short of these standards. Consider adding superior solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for optimum protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the precise installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure that all import and export pipelines are equipped with the appropriate accessories as indicated on the PI diagram. Support the pipelines with separate brackets, ensuring that their weight is independent of the compressor body to maintain structural integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has achieved full solidification, you are poised to initiate the exhilarating phase of the compressor operation test. This critical stage ensures optimal functionality and performance, showcasing the remarkable engineering behind our Integrally Geared Steam Compressor with Frequency Conversion Features.
3.3.8 For optimal operational efficiency, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to this pivotal control hub should be executed via threading pipe, elegantly routed underground to maintain aesthetic and safety standards. Once the electric control cabinet is securely positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable interface for superior control and monitoring.
