At its core, the fundamental principle involves the secondary steam, produced by the evaporator, being skillfully compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The increased temperature then redirects the secondary steam back to the evaporator, where it efficiently heats the materials, triggering evaporation. This marvelously accomplishes the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, making it a pivotal technology for energy conservation.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an advanced assembly primarily consisting of a compressor body, which includes components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, it is equipped with a coupling, motor, and electric instrument, all meticulously designed to ensure top-tier performance and efficiency.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on its foundation. To achieve perfect leveling, position wedge-shaped shims underneath the base. These shims are indispensable for ensuring the unit is perfectly level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately to create an optimal foundation. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedges by spot welding at 4 to 5 points for stability.
The wedge should be customized and installed by users based on their specific conditions. Ensure the contact surface is seamlessly finished for even contact on the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of the wedge iron shouldn’t surpass 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure precision leveling. The unit's alignment standards are: axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with precision. Prior to alignment, verify these crucial requirements:
1) Disconnect the main power supply for safety;
2) Remove the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for full accessibility;
4) Inspect the motor's installation plane for flatness, ensuring no debris, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole surpasses the bolt size, allowing for bolt loosening during motor adjustments;
6) Gather ample stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor foot. These gaskets must be flat and free of attachments. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets between the motor and base.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a precision laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare the necessary bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub’s edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to ensure the compressor and motor center line align perfectly. The maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, while the coupling end face should range between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts. Re-evaluate the runout of both the outer circle and the coupling end face for accuracy.;
12) Reinstall the coupling’s intermediate section following the motor’s idling test to ensure functionality.
3.3.4 Once the casing's "levelness" and alignment are adjusted, tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial, loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure integrity.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, is sensitive to foreign solid or liquid matter that could inflict irreversible damage to the compressor. It is imperative to maintain cleanliness in the inlet and outlet pipelines, aligning them with system steam corrosion standards. For pipelines not meeting these standards, immediate rectification is necessary. Installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet is highly recommended.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring the inclusion of relevant pipeline accessories as directed by the PI diagram. It is crucial to support pipelines connected to the compressor with an independent bracket, rather than relying on the compressor body for weight support.
3.3.7 Once the main fan along with its essential ancillary equipment has been meticulously installed and the concrete has fully cured to a robust state, the operational test for the compressor can be commenced, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For the utmost efficiency, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically positioned within 5 meters of the compressor. The wiring that links the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be expertly connected using a threading pipe that is placed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in position, the wiring terminals within it must be seamlessly connected to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring flawless integration and operation.
