3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the compressor base onto the foundation. Ensure precision by placing wedge-shaped shims strategically underneath to adjust the unit's level.
Position two alternating wedge-shaped irons for perfect leveling, then proceed to spot weld these wedges at 4 to 5 secure points, ensuring maximum stability.
The user must fabricate and install the wedges tailored to specific situational needs. It's crucial that the contact surfaces are smooth for uniform contact,
and that the wedge iron's load capacity doesn't exceed 40Kg/cm.2.
3.3.2 Utilize a precise level to achieve impeccable unit alignment. The axial level should measure 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless stability.
3.3.3 Coupling Alignment: Ensure precision before initiating alignment by verifying these critical steps:
1) Safely turn off the main power supply to prevent any electrical hazards;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for clear access;
4) Inspect the motor's installation surface meticulously to ensure it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments,
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are sufficiently large to allow for necessary adjustments. Loosen the bolts to align the motor accurately;
6) Prepare adequate, attachment-free stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's base. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a highly precise dial indicator or laser alignment tool with an accuracy of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer;
8) Have a sturdy bracket ready to support the dial indicator as depicted in the following diagram;
9) Use the motor hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator around the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer rim;
10) Adjust the motor feet’s bolts meticulously to align the compressor and motor center lines. The deviation should not surpass 0.05mm, and the motor shaft line should be higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft line. Maintain the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely fastening the motor foot bolts, then reassess both the outer circle runout and the end face runout for the coupling,;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test to confirm alignment stability.
3.3.4 Post alignment and level adjustment, secure the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical or trial operations, these bolts should be loosened and re-tightened for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a pivotal high-speed component, must remain free from any solid or liquid interference to prevent irreversible damage. Ensure that connecting pipelines are pristine and meet system steam corrosion standards, or rectify as necessary. Installation of solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber, is recommended before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Execute the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes expertly. Follow the PI diagram for installing relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure that the pipeline is independently supported, avoiding any undue load on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has completely set, the moment arrives to initiate the compressor operation test. This pivotal stage ensures that the entire setup is ready for optimum performance and reliability, laying the foundation for exceptional industrial output.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The essential wiring, meticulously secured through threading pipe, should be discreetly routed underground, ensuring both safety and efficiency. As the electric control cabinet takes its place, it's imperative to meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, establishing a robust and reliable communication channel for superior operational control.
