The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising an array of essential components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, sophisticated lubrication system, powerful motor, and advanced electric instrument. Additionally, it features a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This compressor is celebrated for its compact design, which not only optimizes space but also ensures ease of maintenance. Each part is meticulously crafted to deliver exceptional performance, reliability, and efficiency, making it an indispensable tool in modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Gracefully position the compressor base onto its foundation, ensuring stability with wedge-shaped shims for perfect leveling.
Use alternating wedge-shaped irons to achieve ideal leveling, followed by spot welding them securely at 4-5 points. These wedges should be
designed and installed based on the user's specific requirements, ensuring an even contact on inclined surfaces,
with a load-bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a reliable level to attain precision. The unit's leveling standards: axial level at 0.05/1000mm and horizontal
level at 0.10/1000mm, ensuring impeccable accuracy.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is perfectly centered. Prior to alignment, verify these essential conditions:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely deactivated;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield for accessibility;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for better alignment;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for a clean, unobstructed surface free from debris;
5) Verify that the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size to allow bolt adjustments for motor positioning;
6) Have an adequate supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor foot. Ensure they are clean and impeccably flat. Avoid using long or thin gaskets for alignment adjustments;
7) Utilize a precise dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy (provided by the customer);
8) Set up a sturdy bracket to hold the dial indicator as detailed in the accompanying diagram;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub bracket for dial indicator placement. Position the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust motor foot bolts ensuring alignment of the compressor and motor center lines to within 0.05mm deviation (elevate the motor shaft center line above the compressor low-speed shaft center line), with a coupling face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts, then recheck the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout.
12) Reattach the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once 'levelness' and alignment are perfected, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post operation or trial, loosen and retighten for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must remain free from solid or liquid contaminants to avoid irreversible harm. Ensure that all compressor-connected pipelines are pristine and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Any non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification, with the recommendation to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) ahead of the straight inlet pipe.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Follow the PI diagram for the installation of pipeline accessories. Ensure that pipelines are supported independently and do not impose any weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its supporting equipment are securely in place and the concrete foundation has fully cured, you can initiate the compressor operation test to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency and safety, the compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet should be expertly routed through an underground threading pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is correctly positioned, seamlessly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS for a flawless integration.
