3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims under the base to ensure precise leveling of the unit.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring the unit is level. Secure the irons with spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points to maintain stability.
The user should craft and install the wedge according to specific circumstances. Ensure the contact surface is smooth for even engagement of the inclined plane.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm², ensuring optimal performance and longevity.2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to achieve perfect alignment. The unit's axial level must meet the high standard of 0.05/1000mm, ensuring seamless operation.
The horizontal level should be maintained at 0.10/1000mm, providing a firm foundation for efficiency.
3.3.3 Coupling is centered. Before embarking on alignment, ensure the following crucial prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section safely;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness to prevent any obstructions or contamination;
5) Guarantee that the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size, allowing easy loosening for precise motor adjustments;
6) Have sufficient flat stainless steel gaskets at hand to support the motor feet, ensuring no debris and perfect flatness. Avoid using elongated gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying illustration;
9) Use the motor wheel hub bracket to mount the dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, adhering to guidelines. Ensure the outer circle deviation is within 0.05mm, keeping the motor shaft slightly elevated over the compressor low-speed shaft with coupling end face clearance between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, validating the coupling's outer circle and end face runout consistency.;
12) Once the motor passes the idle test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section with precision.
3.3.4 Post alignment and levelness adjustments, anchor bolts must be tightened. After operational trials, bolts should be loosened and re-tightened to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller is a vital high-speed component. Prevent solid or liquid intrusion to avoid irreversible damage. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to the steam corrosion grade for inlet and outlet pipelines. Rectify non-compliant pipelines promptly. It's recommended to include solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for adding necessary pipeline accessories. Support the compressor-connected pipeline with an independent bracket to avoid imposing its weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan along with its supportive equipment is perfectly installed, and the concrete base has achieved complete solidity, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The critical wiring connection from the compressor to the control cabinet is achieved through threading pipe, designed to remain subterranean for safety and aesthetics. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in position, ensure a seamless connection with the remote DCS by linking the wiring terminals inside the cabinet.
