3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly placing the compressor base on its foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims for precise leveling. This ensures optimal stability and support, enhancing performance.
Alternate two wedge-shaped irons during installation. Once the unit is level, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points for a secure setup.
These wedges, crafted by the user to fit the unique installation environment, must have an even contact surface to ensure perfect alignment and support.
The wedge iron should not exceed a bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve perfect levelness with a precision level. Ensure the unit's axial level is 0.05/1000mm and horizontal level is 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
Maintaining these precise measurements is critical for the unit's efficiency and longevity.
3.3.3 Alignment of the coupling is crucial. Prior to alignment, confirm the following:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off to avoid any accidents;
2) Remove the coupling shield to allow full access to coupling components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for thorough alignment;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane rigorously to ensure it's free of debris and obstructions;
5) Motor bolt holes should be sufficiently larger than the bolts to facilitate easy motor adjustments;
6) Utilize stainless steel gaskets that are flat and clean, avoiding long thin gaskets for impeccable motor support and alignment;
7) Employ a precise dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy for perfect alignment;
8) Have a robust bracket ready for the dial indicator, as illustrated below, to ensure accurate readings;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for dial indicator placement, ensuring it precisely contacts the compressor wheel hub edge;
10) Adjust motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately, keeping deviation within 0.05mm with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated.
11) Once aligned, securely tighten motor foot bolts and double-check the outer circle and end face runouts for precision.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idle test for a complete and secure setup.
3.3.4 Following the meticulous leveling and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. After operational tests, loosen and retighten them for reinforced security.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation demands pristine conditions. Ensure all connected pipelines are clean and meet the steam corrosion grade criteria. If not, rectify and consider adding solid-liquid separators for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Carefully install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with designated accessories per the PI diagram. Ensure pipeline weight is supported by separate brackets, not the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and additional equipment are securely installed and concrete is set, proceed with the essential compressor operation test to validate installation success.
