The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a sophisticated piece of engineering that encompasses the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This meticulously designed structure offers a compact form that enhances ease of maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. 3.3.1 Begin the process by carefully placing the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Gently situate wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which will be indispensable for adjusting the level of the unit.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, strategically spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 points for optimum stability.
The wedge should be manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions. Ensure that the contact surface is meticulously finished to guarantee even contact of the inclined plane.
Please note that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2.)
3.3.2 Employ a high-precision level to achieve perfect leveling. The rigorous leveling criteria demand an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm for the unit.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is flawlessly centered. Before embarking on the alignment journey, adhere to the following pre-alignment prerequisites:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane's flatness diligently to certify it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) The motor bolt hole should be larger than the bolt size to allow for bolt loosening during motor adjustments;
6) Ensure sufficient stainless steel gaskets are on hand to cover the motor feet. These gaskets must be devoid of attachments and absolutely flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, provided by the customer, for precision alignment;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the figure below;
9) Employ a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By tweaking the motor feet adjustment bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finally, fasten the motor foot bolts securely and reassess the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout for precision.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling intermediate section seamlessly.
3.3.4 Once the casing's "levelness" and alignment have been achieved, tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed spinning marvel, is vulnerable to any solid or liquid ingress, which can inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. Thus, it is crucial to ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are pristinely clean and meet the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Non-compliant pipelines demand immediate rectification.Consider integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet to safeguard against impurities.
3.3.6 Install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes with precision, adhering to the PI diagram for guidance on relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipeline connected to the compressor is independently supported by another bracket, avoiding any weight burden on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary components are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has achieved full solidity, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 The precision-engineered electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. To ensure seamless and secure connectivity, the wiring should be elegantly routed via a threading pipe, discreetly placed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, it is essential to seamlessly integrate the wiring terminals with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless operation that upholds the highest standards of excellence.
