3.3.1 Begin by ensuring the compressor base is securely and integrally placed on its foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims under the base for optimal level adjustment.
Strategically alternate two wedge-shaped irons beneath the unit. Once leveling is achieved, secure them with spot welds at 4 to 5 key points. The user should craft and install these wedges tailored to the specific scenario.
The contact surfaces of these wedges must be perfectly finished to ensure even and precise contact of the inclined planes.
The wedge iron must not bear loads exceeding 40Kg per square centimeter.2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ensure the unit's alignment. The axial alignment should be maintained at 0.05 per 1000mm, with the horizontal alignment at 0.10 per 1000mm.
Achieving these precise measurements ensures the compressor functions optimally and efficiently.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous care. Before initiating the alignment process, verify these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off to guarantee safety.
2) Remove the coupling shield to access necessary components for alignment.
3) Carefully detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section.
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it's free from debris, dirt, or any unwanted attachments.
5) Make sure the motor's bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing looseness for optimal motor adjustment.
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets ready to secure under the motor feet. These gaskets should be clean and uniformly flat, avoiding long and thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, ensuring customer preparation.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket for supporting the dial indicator as depicted below.
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator on the hub's edge, allowing the probe to make contact with the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub.
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines, aiming for a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated over the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclude by tightening the motor foot bolts and ensuring the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling are reviewed and precise.;
12) Post motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section for continued operation.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the casing's levelness and alignment, secure the anchor bolts. After machine operation or trial, release and retighten them for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed component; intrusion by any solid or liquid can cause irreversible damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion specifications. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be modified.Implementing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet is highly recommended to safeguard system integrity.
3.3.6 Connect the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes following the PI diagram. Import and export pipelines should include relevant accessories, with separate support brackets to avoid burdening the compressor body with additional weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supporting equipment have been installed and the concrete foundation is fully set, the innovative steam compressor is ready for its operation test. This ensures optimal functionality and performance.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the unit. Use a threading pipe to connect the wiring from the compressor to the cabinet, ideally routed underground for protection and aesthetics. Once the cabinet is securely in place, ensure the wiring terminals within it are meticulously connected to the remote DCS, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient control interface.
