MVR, which stands for mechanical vapor recompression, is an innovative energy-saving technology designed to significantly reduce the demand for external energy sources. This is achieved by ingeniously reutilizing the secondary steam energy it generates. The fundamental principle behind this technology is that the secondary steam produced by the evaporator undergoes compression through a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an increase in the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Subsequently, the elevated temperature steam is redirected back to the evaporator. Here, it effectively heats the materials, inducing evaporation and achieving the remarkable feat of recycling the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously crafted and primarily consisting of a robust compressor body, which includes key components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, it features a coupling, motor, and an advanced electric instrument system. This comprehensive assembly ensures peak performance, reliability, and efficiency in steam compression applications.
3.3.1 Begin by securely settling the compressor base onto the foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
This involves alternating two wedge-shaped irons. After leveling, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 points to ensure stability.
The wedge should be custom-made and installed by the user, tailored to actual conditions, ensuring the contact surface achieves even connection.
The inclined plane must maintain even contact, and the wedge iron should bear no more than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure precision. The unit's leveling requirements are: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
These measurements guarantee the system's optimal performance and stability.
3.3.3 Center the coupling. Before initiating alignment, please verify the following essentials:
1) Disengage the main power supply to prevent any hazards;
2) Detach the coupling shield to access necessary components;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for better alignment;
4) Check the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it is free from debris or contaminants;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolt size, allowing easy adjustment of the motor;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready. These should be clean, flat, and cover the motor's feet, avoiding narrow inserts between the motor and base.
7) Use a highly precise dial indicator or laser alignment meter (with 0.01mm accuracy), which needs to be prepared by the customer;
8) Prepare a bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the reference illustration below;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is designed to hold a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. The maximum deviation allowed is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center.
The coupling end face deviation should be 0.03~0.05mm. Once aligned, ensure to tighten the motor foot bolts meticulously.;
11) After alignment, conduct an idle test, then fit the coupling's intermediate section back into place.
3.3.4 Upon achieving perfect 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, firmly secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, re-tighten the bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component, susceptible to irreversible damage if solids or liquids intrude. Ensure that the pipelines feeding into the compressor are impeccably clean and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines immediately. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. All pipelines must be fitted with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. The compressor should not bear the weight of these pipelines; they should be supported by separate brackets.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and ancillary equipment are set up and the concrete has fully cured, you can perform the compressor operation test.
