Subsequently, this thermally enhanced steam returns to the evaporator, heating the materials and inducing evaporation. The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor, a masterpiece of engineering, primarily comprises the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, advanced lubrication system, motor, sophisticated electric instrumentation, and an ultra-responsive anti-surge control system. Renowned for its compact structure, this compressor is designed for ease of maintenance, ensuring longevity and optimal performance in every operation.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on a solid foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims under the base, which are essential for achieving a perfectly leveled unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring precise leveling of the unit. Secure the wedge-shaped irons by spot welding them at 4 to 5 points to hold them firmly in place.
Each wedge should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual circumstances. This ensures even contact across the inclined surfaces.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must never exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level instrument to precisely find and check the unit's level. The leveling specifications are meticulous: the axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level must adhere to a standard of 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is perfectly centered. Prioritize the following prerequisites before commencing alignment:
1) Disable the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Remove the coupling shield to allow full access;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to prepare for adjustments;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it's clear of debris and any obstructions;
5) Ensure that the motor bolt holes are larger than bolt sizes to facilitate easy loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Prepare ample flat stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor's foot. Avoid long or thin gaskets as they can compromise the stability between the motor and base;
7) Use a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, which should be procured by the customer;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as demonstrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, achieving a maximum deviation of only 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and double-check the alignment by reviewing the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) After performing a motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once you've adjusted the unit's levelness and alignment, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or trial operation, reinforce by loosening and retightening the bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation demands utmost care; intrusion of any solid or liquid can cause critical damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are immaculate and adhere to the steam corrosion grade standards of the system. Immediate rectification is mandatory for non-compliant pipelines.It is advised to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Make sure to include the necessary pipeline accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. The connected pipelines should be independently supported by a separate bracket, ensuring no weight is borne by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, the compressor is ready for an operational test. 3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically placed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Utilize threading pipes to securely connect the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet, ensuring the connection is underground for safety and aesthetics. Once the electric control cabinet is positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals within to the lines at the remote DCS, setting the stage for efficient and discreet operations of the Ultra-Quiet Steam Compressor.
