Direct compression heat pump distillation revolutionizes the process by utilizing the tower top vapor phase as the working fluid. Through the prowess of an external steam compressor, the energy level of the tower top vapor phase is significantly amplified, converting it into a high-temperature heat source for the tower bottom reboiler. As illustrated in the figure below, this advanced method is ideal for separation systems characterized by small temperature differences and similar boiling points between the tower top and bottom, ensuring precision and optimal performance.
The centrifugal compressor, designed exclusively for heat pump distillation, embodies a sophisticated array of components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Slide wedge-shaped shim underneath to adjust the unit level.
Alternate two wedge-shaped irons, level the unit, and spot weld the irons at 4-5 points for stability.
The user is responsible for manufacturing and installing the wedges based on specific needs, ensuring the contact surface is smooth, allowing even contact with the inclined plane.

3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure precision. The unit's axial level tolerance is 0.05/1000mm, while its horizontal level requirement is 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Coupling is centered. Prior to alignment, ensure these criteria are met:
1) Disengage the main power supply;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Extract the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Ensure the motor's installation plane is flat and free from debris, dirt, or other objects;
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed bolt size for ease of adjustment;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets for the motor's foundation, ensuring they are flat and without any attachments. Avoid using long, slender gaskets for fine adjustments;
7) Use a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy, provided by the customer;
8) Set up a bracket for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator to the hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. Maximum outer circle deviation is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling face deviation allowed at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Secure the motor foot bolts, then recheck the coupling's outer circle and end face runout.;
12) After conducting a motor idling test, install the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Following the adjustment of casing alignment and levelness, firmly tighten anchor bolts. Post-operation or trial, loosen and retighten them.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component. Entry of any solids or liquids can cause irreversible damage, so ensure connected pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require rectification. It's advised to install solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor's inlet.uggested to add solid-liquid separation equipment (gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow PI diagrams for fitting accessories on import/export pipelines. The pipelines must be supported by a separate bracket to avoid burdening the compressor.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its ancillary equipment are expertly installed and the concrete foundation has been allowed to fully cure and solidify, the much-anticipated compressor operation test can be conducted with confidence and precision.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The wiring that connects the compressor to the control cabinet must be installed using threading pipes that are routed underground, ensuring a sleek and efficient setup. Once the electric control cabinet is securely placed, it is crucial to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet directly to the lines interfacing with the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure seamless operation and control.
