The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, consisting of a robust compressor body, coupling, gearbox, and a sophisticated lubrication system. Accompanying these are a powerful motor and a meticulous electric instrument system, all harmonized by an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operation, making the DM series the epitome of convenience and efficiency in steam compression technology.
3.3.1 Gracefully position the compressor base on its foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims strategically beneath the base to meticulously adjust the unit level.
Alternately arrange two wedge-shaped irons, and once the unit achieves optimal leveling, spot weld the wedges securely at 4 to 5 points. Each wedge should be
crafted and installed by the user to align with the specific circumstances. Ensure the contact surface is refined, allowing for uniform contact on the inclined
plane. The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed a robust 40Kg/cm².)
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to establish exact leveling. The unit's leveling parameters are exacting: An axial level of a precise 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of a precise 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve impeccable coupling centering. Prior to alignment, ensure the following prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Check that the motor installation plane is immaculate, free from any debris, grime, or unwanted attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes should be sufficiently larger than the bolts, facilitating bolt loosening for motor adjustment;
6) Prepare an abundance of stainless steel gaskets for the motor's base. These gaskets must be pristine and perfectly flat. Avoid using narrow or elongated gaskets between the motor and base for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Arrange for a bracket to secure the dial indicator as illustrated in the following diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for positioning a dial indicator on the wheel hub's perimeter, and place the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer boundary;
10) Fine-tune the motor feet adjustment bolts so that the compressor and motor centrelines align precisely, with the outer circle deviation capped at 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft centerline surpasses the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline, with the coupling's end face deviation maintained at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclusively, tighten the motor foot bolts and re-evaluate the outer circle runout alongside the coupling's face runout;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following the motor's idling test.
3.3.4 Once the casing achieves optimal 'levelness' and alignment, secure the anchor bolts. After the initial mechanical or trial operation, temporarily loosen and re-tighten the bolts for added security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must remain pristine. Any solid or liquid infiltration could cause permanent damage to the compressor. Keep inlet and outlet pipelines flawlessly clean and compliant with the system's corrosion grade specifications. Any non-compliance must be addressed immediately. It's recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment (such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Expertly attach the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. All relevant pipeline accessories must be installed as per the PI diagram. Support the pipelines independently with a separate bracket, ensuring no weight is borne by the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment are carefully installed, and the concrete base has thoroughly solidified, you are ready to commence the operation test of the compressor. This ensures everything is securely in place for optimal performance.
3.3.8 Position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter range of the compressor. Utilize underground threading pipes to securely connect the wiring from the compressor to the cabinet. Upon situating the electric control cabinet, seamlessly link the wiring terminals inside the cabinet with the lines connected to the remote DCS, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration.
