The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, composed of the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be seamlessly set on the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims to adjust the unit's level, ensuring precision and reliability.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. After leveling, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points for stability and sturdiness.
Wedges must be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific situation. Ensure the contact surface is finished for perfect contact with the inclined plane.
Note: The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ensure the unit's exact level. The axial level precision is 0.05/1000mm and horizontal level precision is 0.10/1000mm.
Maintain these exacting standards for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Coupling must be perfectly centered. Prioritize these steps before commencing alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Check and ensure the motor installation plane's flatness, free from debris or obstructions.
5) Motor bolt holes must exceed bolt size for easy adjustments; loosen bolts for motor alignment.
6) Prepare ample, flat stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's base, avoiding any thin, long gaskets between the motor and base.
7) Use a highly accurate dial indicator or a laser alignment meter (0.01mm accuracy) which the customer provides.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket as illustrated below for dial indicator support.
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator to the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust motor feet's bolts to align compressor and motor centerlines, maintaining a max deviation of 0.05mm. Ensure motor shaft centerline is higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline; coupling end face should measure between 0.03-0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten motor foot bolts. Recheck for outer circle runout and coupling end face runout.;
12) After a successful motor idle test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's level and alignment are perfected, secure the anchor bolts. Post-operation or trial run, loosen and retighten bolts for assured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed, critical component. Prevent solid or liquid entry to avoid irreversible damage to the compressor. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine.Pipelines must meet the system's steam corrosion standards or be rectified. Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices (like gas scrubbers) before the compressor inlet's straight section.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes per the PI diagram, ensuring all relevant accessories are included. Support connecting pipelines with separate brackets; the compressor body must not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its supporting equipment is complete, and the concrete is fully cured to perfection, you can proceed to conduct the compressor's operational test with confidence.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure all wiring connections from the compressor to the electric control cabinet are meticulously routed through underground threading pipes. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, seamlessly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS for integrated operation.
