MVR, or Mechanical Vapor Recompression, represents a groundbreaking energy-saving technology that dramatically minimizes external energy consumption by ingeniously repurposing the secondary steam energy it produces. At its core, this cutting-edge technique involves compressing the secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process elegantly transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. As a result, the elevated temperature steam returns to the evaporator, efficiently heating the materials and inducing further evaporation. This cycle ingeniously recycles the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, embodying a sophisticated sustainability solution.
The DM series Single-stage Geard Steam Compressor is an exceptional engineering marvel, meticulously designed to include a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This innovation boasts a remarkably compact structure, ensuring user-friendly access for maintenance, making it not only highly efficient but also delightfully convenient for seamless operation.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be seamlessly integrated on the foundation. Strategically position wedge-shaped shims under the base to fine-tune the unit's level, ensuring precision and stability.
Alternately place two wedge-shaped irons, leveling the machinery perfectly. Secure these wedges by spot welding them at 4-5 key points to maintain a firm foundation.
Each wedge must be customized and implemented by the user according to specific conditions, ensuring a finished contact surface for even distribution of weight.
The inclined plane must maintain even contact, with a wedge iron bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to achieve precision leveling. The unit must meet the following leveling specifications: an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure perfect alignment of the coupling. Before you embark on the alignment process, adhere to the following pre-checks:
1) Disconnect the main power for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for a clear view;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling for access;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness to ensure it is devoid of foreign materials, dirt, and attachments that could hamper performance;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is ample enough to accommodate the bolt size, facilitating easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Have an adequate supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's feet. These gaskets must be clean, flat, and appropriately sized to prevent misalignments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool with a precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket allows you to mount a dial indicator precisely on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for accuracy;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet meticulously so that the compressor and motor center lines align accurately (or as per specific guidelines). The maximum deviation allowed for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line strategically higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face should be between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the outer circle runout and coupling end face runout for optimal alignment.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment, solidify the casing's 'levelness' and alignment by tightening the anchor bolts. After operational testing, loosen and re-secure the bolts to ensure lasting stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating element, is sensitive to solid or liquid intrusions which can cause severe damage. Safeguard the compressor by ensuring all linked inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Any substandard pipelines must undergo rectification to prevent potential harm.Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for added protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. The associated pipelines must be equipped with relevant accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure the pipelines connected to the compressor are supported by separate brackets, avoiding any load on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete has fully solidified, you can proceed to conduct the compressor operation test. This pivotal step ensures that every component is functioning optimally, marking a critical phase in the commissioning process.
3.3.8 To ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Connection wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet should be meticulously threaded through conduits, running underground to preserve aesthetics and safety. Once the electric control cabinet is installed, it is crucial to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring robust control and monitoring capabilities.
