The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously constructed with several high-quality components. Its composition includes the compressor body, which encompasses the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal, all crafted with precision and care. The system is fully integrated with a coupling, motor, and electric instrument, each playing a crucial role in delivering unparalleled performance and reliability.
3.3.1 To ensure fundamental stability, place the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims under the base, which are instrumental in leveling the unit.
Use alternating wedge-shaped irons for precision. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedges with a spot weld at 4 to 5 points.
The wedges should be crafted and installed based on the user’s specific conditions, with an emphasis on a flawless finish for consistent contact.
Ensure that the inclined plane contacts evenly, and the load-bearing capacity of these wedges does not exceed 40Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling with a leveling device. The axial level tolerance is set at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level tolerance is 0.10/1000mm, maintaining impeccable balance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling meticulously. Prior to alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
1) Deactivate the primary power supply;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield;
3) Extract the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify that the motor installation plane is perfectly flat, devoid of any foreign particles, dirt, or attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt dimensions to facilitate motor adjustments by slightly loosening the bolts;
6) Secure sufficient stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foundation. These gaskets must be flat, clean, and free from debris. Avoid using long, slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm (to be sourced by the customer);
8) Ready the support bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's periphery, with the probe extending to the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Through meticulous adjustment of the motor feet's adjustment bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines precisely, with the outer circular deviation capped at 0.05mm and the coupling end face deviation maintained at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securing the motor foot bolts, and reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts for consistency.;
12) After the motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section securely.
3.3.4 Upon refining the casing's levelness and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. After the machinery's operational test, loosen and re-tighten these bolts to ensure enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller's rapid rotation demands vigilance as any solid or liquid intrusion can severely damage the compressor. Maintain clean inlet and outlet pipelines, compliant with the steam corrosion standards. Rectify non-compliant pipelines promptly. It's wise to install solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Affix the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes efficiently. Follow PI diagram guidelines for installing appropriate pipe accessories. Ensure the pipelines connected to the compressor are supported by an independent bracket, preventing undue weight on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and all its auxiliary components is complete and the concrete base has achieved full solidity, it is time to embark on the compressor's operation test. This ensures optimal functionality and seamless integration of the system, setting the stage for impeccable performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure the wiring journey from the compressor to the cabinet is meticulously managed through underground threading pipes for enhanced safety and durability. Once the cabinet is stationed, seamlessly integrate the wiring terminals within the control cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) to guarantee reliable communication and control.
