MVR, or mechanical vapor recompression, stands as a groundbreaking energy-saving technology. It significantly minimizes the need for external energy by ingeniously reusing the secondary steam energy it produces. The core principle involves the secondary steam, generated by the evaporator, being compressed using a high energy efficiency steam compressor. This process converts electrical energy into thermal energy, causing an elevation in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Consequently, this heated steam returns to the evaporator, enhancing the heating of materials and prompting further evaporation. This brilliant cycle effectively recycles the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, promoting both efficiency and sustainability in energy use.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is meticulously engineered, comprising the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is remarkably compact, ensuring ease of maintenance, and embodies modern engineering excellence to meet the demands of contemporary operations.
3.3.1 Carefully position the compressor base on the designated foundation. Ensure stability by placing wedge-shaped shims underneath the base to finely adjust the unit level.
Position the wedge-shaped irons alternately, achieving perfect leveling of the unit. Secure the wedge-shaped irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual setup. Ensure the contact surface is finished for even contact of the inclined planes, with the
wedge iron bearing a load capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to achieve precision leveling. Aim for an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
Adhering to these precise measurements ensures seamless functionality.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment. Before initiating alignment, verify the following essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is impeccably flat, devoid of any debris or foreign materials;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts, allowing for flexibility during motor adjustments;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to evenly support the motor feet, maintaining cleanliness and flatness. Avoid using long or thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a stable bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the diagram below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum external deviation is no more than 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Maintain coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, reviewing both the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling for accuracy;;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post alignment and levelness adjustments, tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operations or trials, loosen and retighten bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a highly sensitive, high-speed rotating component. Any solid or liquid intrusion could cause substantial, irreversible damage to the compressor. Therefore, ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are impeccably clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements.Pipelines failing to meet these conditions require immediate rectification. It is advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight inlet pipe to the compressor.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, equipped with relevant pipeline accessories as specified in the PI diagram. Ensure that any pipeline connected to the compressor is supported by its own bracket, without placing its weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment are securely installed and the concrete base has fully set, you are ready to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial phase ensures everything functions optimally, aligning with our high standards for safety and efficiency.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically placed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For secure and efficient connectivity, utilize threading pipes to run the wiring underground, linking the compressor to its control cabinet. Once the cabinet is properly positioned, ensure all wiring terminals are meticulously connected to the remote DCS, guaranteeing seamless integration and operational excellence.
