MVR, an abbreviation for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, stands as a revolutionary energy-efficient technology designed to significantly curtail the need for external energy inputs. This is achieved through the ingenious reutilization of the secondary steam energy it produces. At its core, MVR operates on a fundamental principle: the secondary steam generated by the evaporator undergoes a high-efficiency transformation process. This involves compressing the steam using a state-of-the-art steam compressor, effectively converting electrical energy into valuable thermal energy. As a result, the steam experiences an increase in both pressure and temperature, allowing it to return to the evaporator as a potent heat source. This cyclical process promotes the evaporation of materials, thus facilitating an eco-friendly recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in the secondary steam, maximizing efficiency and sustainability.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an epitome of mechanical ingenuity, comprising a meticulously designed compressor body, robust coupling, precision-engineered gearbox, efficient lubrication system, powerful motor, and advanced electric instruments paired with a sophisticated anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure, ensuring it is not only space-efficient but also incredibly easy to maintain, offering seamless operation and reliable performance for enhanced productivity.
3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims under the base to achieve a level surface for the unit.
Alternately position two wedge-shaped irons and, once the unit is precisely leveled, secure them with spot welds at 4 to 5 points.
These wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific installation.
Ensure the contact surface is finished for even contact on the inclined plane. The wedge iron should bear no more than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure that the unit meets leveling standards: axial alignment at 0.05/1000mm, and horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
These exact specifications guarantee optimal installation quality.
3.3.3 Align the coupling precisely. Before beginning alignment, ensure the following preliminary steps are completed:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Remove the protective shield from the coupling;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is clean and free of debris or obstructions;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is sufficiently large for bolt adjustment;
6) Prepare flat, stainless steel gaskets to support the motor. Avoid using long, thin gaskets that could compromise alignment.
7) Use a dial indicator or laser alignment tool, accurate to 0.01mm, prepared by the customer;
8) Have a bracket ready to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Mount the motor wheel hub bracket for dial indicator attachment on the hub edge, positioning the probe on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune the motor feet adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring minimal deviation (0.05mm). The motor's shaft center line should be slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft line, achieving end face alignment of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts and recheck for any runout in the coupling's outer circle and end face.;
12) Complete the process by installing the coupling's intermediate section after conducting a motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are confirmed, tighten the anchor bolts. After trial operation, loosen and retighten these bolts for secure installation.
3.3.5 The impeller, a critical high-speed component, must remain free of any solid or liquid debris to prevent irreversible damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet the required steam corrosion resistance of the system. Rectify any pipelines that fail to meet these standards.It is recommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes per the PI diagram, incorporating all necessary pipeline accessories. Support the connected pipelines with separate brackets, as the compressor body should not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete base has fully cured, it's time to initiate the compressor operation test. This critical phase ensures that all components are functioning seamlessly, paving the way for high-efficiency performance.
3.3.8 For optimal safety and convenience, the electric control cabinet should be situated within a 5-meter proximity to the compressor. To ensure a clean and safe setup, electrical connections should be routed through underground threading pipes. Once the control cabinet is perfectly positioned, synchronize the wiring terminals within the cabinet with the remote DCS lines, ensuring flawless integration and control.
