At the heart of its operation lies a brilliant principle: the secondary steam generated by the evaporator encounters a high-energy efficiency steam compressor. This process converts electrical energy into thermal energy, thereby increasing the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated temperature steam then cycles back to the evaporator, effectively heating the materials to trigger evaporation. This elegant cycle achieves the remarkable feat of recycling the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, encompassing the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electronic instruments, and an anti-surge control system. Its design is both compact and robust, ensuring ease of maintenance and superior performance.

Installation Instructions

3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base securely onto its foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precision leveling.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, carry out spot welding on the irons at 4 to 5 points.
Wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to specific site conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are flawlessly finished,
ensuring even contact on inclined planes. The wedge iron must not bear more than 40Kg/cm
2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to achieve precision leveling. The unit’s axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, whereas the horizontal level must reach 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure meticulous attention to these leveling specifications for optimal performance.

3.3.3 Proceed with coupling alignment, ensuring the following prerequisites are met for flawless operation:
1) Deactivate the primary power supply;
2) Disassemble the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate segment;
4) Ensure the motor installation plane is flat and free from any debris or foreign matter;
5) Verify the motor's bolt holes exceed the bolt size for easy adjustments. Loosen bolts as necessary to reposition the motor;
6) Stock up on stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. Gaskets must be flawless and lie flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for motor adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (customer provided);
8) Set up the necessary supporting bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated below;

9) Mount the motor hub bracket to fit a dial indicator on the hub’s edge, ensuring the probe rests on the compressor hub's exterior edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor centres, adhering to guidelines. Keep the maximum deviation at 0.05mm.

11) Secure the motor foot bolts after alignment. Re-inspect for outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Post motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section for final setup.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of casing level and alignment, anchor bolts must be tightened. Following operational tests, loosen and retighten bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller operates at high speeds, and any intrusion of solids or liquids could damage the compressor irreversibly. Ensure that all compressor-connected pipelines are immaculate and adhere to steam corrosion standards.
Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) before the compressor inlet to enhance protection.
3.3.6 Fit compressor inlet and outlet pipelines as per PI diagrams. Ensure these pipelines are independently supported, sparing the compressor from undue weight strain.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its ancillary equipment has been successfully completed and the concrete foundation has fully cured, you are ready to commence the compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal step towards ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of your system.
3.3.8 For the seamless operation of the compressor, its electric control cabinet should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius. The critical wiring connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet should be skillfully executed using threading pipes designed to run underground. After positioning the electric control cabinet, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless and efficient setup.
