The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously designed to include a robust compressor body, secure coupling, efficient gearbox, and a comprehensive lubrication system. This sophisticated apparatus is powered by a motor, enhanced with electric instruments, and fortified with an advanced anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly positioning the compressor base onto the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise level adjustment of the unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedges at 4~5 strategic points, ensuring a solid foundation.
These custom wedges, crafted by the user to suit their needs, must have smooth, even contact surfaces.
They should never bear more than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to guarantee precision. The axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level at a precise 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure these specifications for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous care. Prior to alignment, confirm these essential steps:
1) Power down the main supply for safety;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is immaculate and free of debris;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt size for adjustable motor positioning;
6) Equip with ample, pristine stainless steel gaskets to fit under the motor feet. Avoid thin gaskets for ideal stability.
7) Use precision tools like a dial indicator or laser alignment meter (customer-provided) for accuracy.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying diagram;
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub, ensuring accurate readings on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts until the compressor and motor center lines align closely, maintaining a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm, with coupling end face precision of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and verify the coupling's outer and end face runouts for perfection.;
12) Complete by installing the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment, tighten the anchor bolts after achieving desired levelness and alignment. Check these after the mechanical or trial operation, then re-tighten.
3.3.5 The high-speed impeller demands pristine conditions; any solid or liquid intrusion can cause irreversible damage. Ensure connected pipelines are clean and steam corrosion grade compliant. Rectify any discrepancies.Consider incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Securely install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. All pipelines should adhere to the PI diagram standards, with support from separate brackets to prevent undue stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment have been expertly installed and the concrete has fully solidified, you can seamlessly proceed to conduct the compressor operation test. This ensures optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The electrical connections from the compressor to the cabinet should be expertly installed using threading pipes that run underground. Once the cabinet is perfectly in place, securely connect the wiring terminals in the electric control cabinet to the remote DCS lines. This setup guarantees a streamlined and efficient system.
