The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an epitome of engineering excellence, comprising core components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be integrally positioned on the foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring the unit is level. Secure the irons with spot welding at 4 to 5 points.
The wedge must be crafted and installed by the user based on specific conditions, ensuring even contact of inclined surfaces.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm², ensuring stability and safety.2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to achieve perfect alignment. Adhere to these stringent requirements: axial level 0.05/1000mm,
and horizontal level 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling meticulously. Prior to alignment, fulfill these essential steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is turned off;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Examine the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring no foreign matter is present;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are sufficiently large to allow bolt adjustment for motor positioning;
6) Have ample flat stainless steel gaskets ready for the motor's foot. Avoid long, thin gaskets for base adjustments;
7) Use a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter (customer supplied) for accuracy;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for precise dial indicator placement on the compressor wheel hub;
10) Fine-tune the motor feet adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring deviations are minimal.
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts, verifying runout measures for the coupling's outer circle and end face.;
12) Reattach the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-alignment of the casing's levelness, anchor bolts should be tightened. After trial operations, re-tighten to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The high-speed impeller is vulnerable to damage if solid or liquid matter enters. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine,and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Install solid-liquid separation equipment if necessary for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Connect compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Follow PI diagram for installing pipeline accessories, ensuring compressor body isn’t burdened by pipe weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its comprehensive ancillary equipment are expertly installed and after the concrete foundation has thoroughly solidified, it's time to commence the operational testing of the compressor. This marks a significant step in ensuring the system's readiness and reliability.
3.3.8 Install the electric control cabinet of the compressor strategically within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure the seamless connection of wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet using threading pipes installed underground for optimal safety and functionality. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the remote DCS lines, ensuring a robust and efficient network connection.
