3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the integrally-designed compressor base on its foundation. Enhance stability by inserting wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which serve the critical purpose of adjusting the unit's level.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons until the unit is perfectly leveled. Proceed to spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points to ensure stability. The wedge should be
manufactured and meticulously installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions present. Ensure the contact surface is finished to perfection, facilitating seamless contact of inclined
planes, while ensuring the wedge iron's bearing capacity remains within a safe limit, not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling with a level. The rigorous leveling standards are set as follows: the unit's axial level should meet the exacting standard of 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal
level of the unit being maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Perfect alignment of the coupling is crucial. Before initiating the alignment process, verify these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate segment;
4) Conduct a thorough inspection of the motor installation surface to guarantee it is free from foreign matter, dirt, and any unwanted attachments;
5) Verify that the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts. This allows for bolt loosening to facilitate motor adjustments;
6) Prepare a generous number of stainless steel gaskets to adequately cover the motor feet. These gaskets must be free of attachments and perfectly flat to ensure ideal adjustments. Avoid using gaskets that are overly long and thin for this purpose;
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be procured by the customer;
8) Prepare the appropriate support bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Attach the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the dial indicator probe precisely on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Carefully adjust the surrounding bolts at the motor feet to ensure the compressor and motor centerlines are precisely aligned, or in accordance with specific guidelines. The maximum deviation should be no more than 0.05mm for the outer circle (with the motor shaft center line higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), and the coupling end face deviation should stay within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Upon achieving alignment, securely tighten the motor foot bolts. Double-check the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for accuracy;;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the "levelness" and proper alignment of the casing have been ensured, proceed to firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After conducting mechanical operations or trial runs, loosen the bolts slightly and retighten them for optimal stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component. Any ingress of solid or liquid substances can lead to irreversible damage to the compressor. It is imperative to maintain the cleanliness of the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor, ensuring they meet the steam corrosion grade requirements of the system. Pipelines falling short of this standard must be promptly rectified. It is stronglyrecommended to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram to fit the appropriate pipeline accessories. The pipeline connected to the compressor should be supported by an independent bracket, ensuring that its weight is not borne by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation is fully solidified, it becomes possible to proceed with the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the integrity and readiness of the Heavy-Duty Steam Compressor for Pharmaceutical Wastewater Treatment with Enhanced Features.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The wiring process requires the use of threading pipe underground to connect the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the cabinet is securely in place, it is essential to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet seamlessly with the lines extending to the remote DCS, ensuring optimal functionality and control.
