The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising a comprehensive set of components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and anti-surge control system. This advanced system boasts a compact and streamlined structure that ensures ease of maintenance and operational efficiency. 3.3.1 The compressor base is meticulously placed on a robust foundation with wedge-shaped shims under the base for precise level adjustments.
Carefully place two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, skillfully spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedges shall be
custom-manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the actual situation. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for an impeccable even contact of the inclined
plane. Note: The bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to ascertain the balance. The unit's leveling requirements are exacting, with an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is paramount. Prior to initiating alignment procedures, verify the following essential requirements:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with caution;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane meticulously to confirm it's free from any debris, dirt, or unwanted attachments;
5) The motor bolt hole should exceed the bolt size, allowing bolts to be loosened for precise motor adjustments;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to securely cover the motor's foot, ensuring gaskets are free from attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an impeccable accuracy of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the figure below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to mount a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning a dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet with precision, ensuring the compressor and motor center lines align closely (or as per respective instructions). The maximum permissible deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm; the motor shaft center line should be slightly higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face should be between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and meticulously review the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post 'levelness' and alignment adjustments of the casing, anchor bolts must be tightened securely. After mechanical operation (or trial run), loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating marvel. Any solid or liquid intrusion can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. It's crucial to guarantee that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are spotless and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines failing to meet these criteria require immediate rectification. It is suggested to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment (like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) preceding the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Expertly install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines must be equipped with appropriate pipeline accessories, as delineated in the PI diagram. Ensure that the pipeline connected to the compressor is supported by an independent bracket, not burdening the compressor body with its weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are firmly installed and the concrete has thoroughly cured, the time is perfect to commence the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a 5-meter radius of it, ensuring quick and effective communication. Use threading pipe to connect the wiring from the compressor to the cabinet, directing it underground for a seamless aesthetic. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, proceed to connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a smooth and efficient operational setup for the Innovative Steam Compressor with Guide Vane Adjustment for Wastewater Efficiency.
