The DM Series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously designed to include a comprehensive array of components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and sophisticated electric instruments, along with a cutting-edge anti-surge control system. Its compact structure is crafted for ease of maintenance, ensuring that efficiency and convenience are at the forefront.
3.3.1 Begin the installation of the compressor base by carefully placing it on the prepared foundation. Ensure precision by positioning wedge-shaped shims beneath the base; these are vital for fine-tuning and achieving a perfect level.
Alternate the placement of these wedge-shaped irons to achieve optimal balance. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the shims at 4 to 5 points to secure them firmly in place.
These wedges should be crafted and positioned by the user, tailored to the specific requirements of the setup. Ensure the contact surface is meticulously finished for even and seamless contact of the inclined plane.
Note that the bearing capacity for these wedges should never exceed 40Kg/cm2 for safety and performance integrity.).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ensure absolute accuracy in the leveling process. Adhere to the stringent leveling criteria: the unit’s axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, while maintaining a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
These standards guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.3 Achieve precise coupling alignment. Before commencing with this meticulous task, ensure completion of the following prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off to guarantee safety.
2) Remove the coupling shield to provide clear access for alignment adjustments.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate the process.
4) Verify the motor installation plane is impeccably flat, devoid of any debris or unwanted materials.
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are slightly larger than the bolts to allow for smooth adjustment and alignment of the motor.
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet. These gaskets must be clean, flat, and free of imperfections.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an ultra-high accuracy of 0.01mm for precision alignment, procured by the customer.
8) Set up a supportive bracket as depicted in the accompanying diagram for holding the dial indicator securely.
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub bracket; the probe should rest on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub for precise readings.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center line. The outer circle should not deviate more than 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center slightly higher than the compressor’s low-speed shaft.
11) Once completed, tighten the motor foot bolts, thoroughly reviewing the outer circle runout and face runout of the coupling for assurance.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test to confirm alignment integrity.
3.3.4 After achieving precision in leveling and alignment, secure the anchor bolts firmly. Post-mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure sustained stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a critical high-speed component, is vulnerable to damage from any solid or liquid intrusion. Ensure the cleanliness and compliance of all connecting pipelines with the steam corrosion grade standards.Pipelines falling short must be promptly rectified. It's advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet to prevent contamination.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. These must include all necessary pipeline accessories per the PI diagram specifications. The pipelines should be supported independently; their weight must not impinge upon the compressor body to maintain structural integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment have been meticulously installed, and the concrete has fully cured and reached optimal solidification, you are ready to conduct the compressor operation test. This ensures everything is in perfect working order before proceeding.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For seamless integration, the wiring from the compressor to this control center should be securely connected using a threading pipe, discreetly routed underground. Once the control cabinet is precisely set up, ensure that the wiring terminals within it are expertly linked with the circuits at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) for efficient and reliable operation.
