3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously placed on a solid foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precision leveling of the unit.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points.
These wedges must be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to their unique circumstances, ensuring an immaculate contact surface for optimal stability.
The inclined plane must make full contact, with the wedge iron's bearing capacity not exceeding a robust 40Kg/cm2.)
3.3.2 Achieve impeccable leveling using a level. The unit must meet precise leveling standards: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling. Before beginning alignment, ensure all prerequisites are thoroughly checked:
1) Disconnect the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section with precision;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's free from debris, dirt, and any extraneous material;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are larger than bolts for easy adjustment, allowing bolts to be loosened for motor positioning;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's feet, ensuring they're clean and perfectly flat. Avoid inserting long, thin gaskets between the motor and base for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with high precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts strategically to align the compressor and motor center lines, adhering to guidelines. Maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line;
coupling end face tolerance is 0.03~0.05mm;
11) After alignment, securely tighten the motor foot bolts and meticulously review the coupling's outer circle and end face runout.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reattach the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once leveling and alignment of the casing are perfected, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten the bolts for enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating element, must be safeguarded against any foreign solids or liquids, which could inflict irreversible damage on the compressor. It is paramount to maintain cleanliness in the inlet and outlet pipelines, ensuring compliance with the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification.We recommend installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet to prevent contamination.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure pipelines are fitted with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. Pipeline weight must be supported by a separate bracket, not by the compressor body, to ensure structural integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, you are ready to perform the compressor operation test. This critical step ensures the flawless functioning of your equipment, preparing it for smooth and efficient performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a 5-meter radius for optimal control and efficiency. Ensure the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is meticulously connected using threading pipes, which should be routed underground for a seamless and unobtrusive setup. After placing the electric control cabinet, establish a secure connection between the wiring terminals in the cabinet and the lines at the remote DCS, optimizing your system's control and reliability.
