3.3.1 To establish a solid foundation for your High-Speed Direct Drive Oil-Film Steam Compressor, carefully place the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims under the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Strategically position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is meticulously leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4-5 points for optimal stability.
Users should craft and position the wedges based on the actual setup requirements, ensuring the contact surface is expertly finished for even contact of the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve perfect alignment using a level. The unit's axial precision should be 0.05/1000mm, while maintaining a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm to ensure superior performance.
3.3.3 For precise coupling alignment, confirm the following preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off, ensuring safety first;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield with precision;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Check the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring a debris-free surface;
5) The motor bolt holes should be larger than the bolt size, allowing bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet, ensuring they are impeccably clean and flat.
Do not insert long, thin gaskets between the motor and base for adjustments; utilize only appropriately sized ones;
7) Use a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter, accurate to 0.01mm, prepared by the user;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated;
9) Install the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to accommodate a dial indicator on its edge, with the probe contacting the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By fine-tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines as precisely as possible, with a maximum deviation of 0.05mm. The motor shaft center line should be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation should be within 0.03~0.05mm;11) Firmly tighten the motor foot bolts, rechecking the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Post motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section to ensure flawless operation.
3.3.4 After aligning and leveling the casing, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, re-loosen and retighten for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 As the impeller is a high-speed rotating component, it is crucial to ensure that no solids or liquids enter, which could result in irreversible damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines meet the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. If not, rectify promptly, and consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with necessary pipeline accessories according to the PI diagram. Ensure the compressor-connected pipelines are independently supported by a separate bracket, avoiding undue weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and ancillary equipment are expertly installed and the concrete fully solidified, carry out the compressor operation test to ensure flawless functionality.
