3.3.1 Begin the installation by positioning the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Underneath, place wedge-shaped shims strategically to adjust the unit level with finesse and precision.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring optimal leveling of the unit. Secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points, ensuring stability.
Craft these wedges based on actual situational needs, ensuring the contact surface is impeccably finished for even contact on inclined planes.
Be mindful that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed the strength threshold of 40 Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precise level to achieve impeccable leveling. Adhere to the unit leveling standards: an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with precision. Prior to the alignment process, ensure the following key preparatory steps are completed:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane. Ensure it is free from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments.
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are adequately larger than the bolts themselves to facilitate easy loosening and motor adjustment.
6) Equip yourself with a sufficient number of stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. Ensure they are flat and devoid of any attachments. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter boasting a high accuracy of 0.01mm (to be prepared by the user).
8) Arrange a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying figure.
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for affixing a dial indicator on the hub's edge, allowing the probe to rest on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the motor feet's adjustment bolts meticulously to align the compressor and motor center line. Aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle (ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), with coupling end face deviation kept between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclude by tightening the motor foot bolts, rigorously reviewing the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for precision.;
12) Once the motor idling test is complete, reinstall the coupling intermediate section to finish the process.
3.3.4 Post 'levelness' and alignment adjustments of the casing, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operation or trial runs, loosen and retighten the bolts to secure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must remain free from solid or liquid interference to prevent irreversible compressor damage. Ensure purity of the inlet and outlet pipelines connecting to the compressor, conforming to the system's steam corrosion grade. Rectify any discrepancies and consider implementing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Adhere to the PI diagram for incorporating relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipeline's weight is independently supported by another bracket, sparing the compressor body from bearing the load.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its supplementary apparatus are meticulously installed and the robust concrete foundation is entirely set, you are ready to initiate the compressor operation test. This pivotal step ensures that your Oil-Film High-Speed Direct Drive Compressor is primed for peak industrial performance.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet should be strategically placed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure that the vital wiring connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is expertly routed through a threading pipe, discreetly placed underground. After the cabinet is stationed, connect the essential wiring terminals in the electric control cabinet seamlessly with the lines at the remote DCS for efficient operational integration.
