3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims under the base to achieve perfect alignment and leveling of the unit.
Place two alternating wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is meticulously leveled, spot weld these irons at 4 to 5 strategic points ensuring stability.
The user must manufacture and install these wedges tailored to the actual conditions, guaranteeing a flawless contact surface for even pressure distribution.
The inclined plane should offer seamless contact, with each wedge bearing a capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain the unit's alignment. The unit must meet stringent leveling standards: axially, it should be 0.05mm per 1000mm, and horizontally, an exacting 0.10mm per 1000mm.
3.3.3 The coupling requires precision centering. Before commencing the meticulous alignment process, ensure the following prerequisites:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Disassemble the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with care;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is impeccably flat and free from any debris or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed bolt dimensions, allowing easy adjustments for precise alignment;
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets, ensuring they're flat and free from any contaminants. Avoid using narrow gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting a precision of 0.01mm (to be sourced by the customer);
8) Ready a robust bracket for dial indicator support, as illustrated below;
9) Use a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe rests on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Carefully adjust the motor feet bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines perfectly. Ensure the outer circle's maximum deviation is a mere 0.05mm; the motor shaft center must sit slightly higher than the compressor low-speed shaft.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and meticulously check the coupling's outer circle and end face runout.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section post a satisfactory motor idling test.
3.3.4 Upon achieving impeccable 'levelness' and alignment, fortify the casing by tightening the anchor bolts. Post-operation, loosen and retighten these bolts to maintain integrity.
3.3.5 The impeller is a precision high-speed component. Any foreign solid or liquid can cause irreversible damage. Ensure connected pipelines are pristine and adhere to steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines must be swiftly rectified.Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet to prevent damage.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Follow the PI diagram for pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipelines are independently supported, preventing undue stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its comprehensive ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, you're ready to embark on the pivotal compressor operation test. This is a crucial step to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the compressor's electric control cabinet should be positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring should be expertly connected using threading pipe that is discreetly routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) for flawless operation.
