MVR, or mechanical vapor recompression, represents a groundbreaking energy-saving technology designed to minimize the requirement for external energy by ingeniously reusing the secondary steam energy it generates. At the heart of this technology lies a simple yet effective principle: the secondary steam created by the evaporator is subjected to compression using a highly energy-efficient steam compressor. This process adeptly converts electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an elevation of both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The enhanced temperature returns this steam to the evaporator, where it heats the materials and stimulates further evaporation. This cycle ingeniously recaptures the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, thereby optimizing energy use and promoting sustainability.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is an engineering marvel that comprises key components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Emphasizing a compact structure, this compressor is engineered for effortless maintenance, ensuring long-term reliability and performance excellence.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be seamlessly integrated onto the foundation. Slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for optimal leveling.
Alternate two wedge-shaped irons for precision, achieving perfect leveling. Secure the irons with spot welds at 4-5 key points.
The user should manufacture and install the wedges, ensuring an immaculate contact surface for uniform inclination.
Ensure the wedge iron's load does not surpass 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level for pinpoint accuracy. Align the unit's axial level to an exacting 0.05/1000mm, with horizontal precision at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure perfect coupling center alignment by following these preparatory steps:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to guarantee safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for access;
3) Carefully remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it's free from foreign matter;
5) Verify that motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes to facilitate adjustments;
6) Gather sufficient stainless steel gaskets for motor support. They should be clean and perfectly flat, avoiding thin, elongated gaskets.
7) Employ a dial indicator or high-precision laser alignment meter (0.01mm accuracy) for alignment.
8) Set up the supporting bracket for the dial indicator as depicted below;
9) Attach a dial indicator on the wheel hub bracket, positioning the probe at the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Align compressor and motor center lines using motor foot adjustment bolts, maintaining a max outer circle deviation of 0.05mm. Adjust coupling end face to 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Secure motor foot bolts firmly, then reassess coupling’s outer circle runout and end face runout;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test for final adjustments.
3.3.4 Post-leveling and alignment, fasten the anchor bolts securely. Conduct a mechanical trial, then re-tighten bolts for ultimate stability.
3.3.5 The impeller spins at high speed, and any intrusion of solids or liquids can critically damage it. Ensure that all connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet the system's steam corrosion standards. If not, rectification is mandatory.Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Fit the compressor with inlet and outlet pipelines, complete with all relevant accessories per the PI diagram. Pipeline weight must rest on separate supports, not on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its ancillary equipment are meticulously installed, and after the concrete has achieved complete solidification, you are set to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the flawless performance and efficiency of the system.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. Utilize secure underground threading pipes for the wiring connection from the compressor to the cabinet. Post-installation, ensure seamless integration by connecting the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a smooth and reliable operation.
