The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering excellence, comprised of a meticulously designed compressor body, coupling, gearbox, and lubrication system. This advanced system is powered by a robust motor and is equipped with sophisticated electric instrumentation and an anti-surge control system. The DM series is distinguished by its compact structure, making it exceptionally convenient for maintenance. 3.3.1 Begin by strategically positioning the compressor base as a single unit on its designated foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust and level the unit.
Expertly alternate two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring optimal leveling. Secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. The craftsmanship of the wedges should
be user-defined based on realistic conditions, with their contact surfaces precisely finished for even contact. Ensure the inclined plane makes ideal contact, and
please note that the wedge iron's load capacity must not exceed a robust 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve unparalleled accuracy using a level to ascertain the unit's alignment. The axial level should achieve an impressive ratio of 0.05/1000mm, with the
horizontal level equally precise at 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless operation.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous attention. Prior to alignment, ensure these critical conditions are met:
1) Completely disconnect the main power source to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Extract the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling with precision;
4) Verify the motor's installation surface is impeccably flat, devoid of debris, dirt, or any foreign attachments;
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts, allowing for smooth adjustments;
6) Ample stainless steel gaskets should be prepped to adequately support the motor's feet. These gaskets must be flat and free of contaminants. Avoid using elongated and slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base;
7) Utilize a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, provided by the customer;
8) Secure a bracket designed to support the dial indicator as per the illustration below;
9) Make use of the motor wheel hub bracket to mount a dial indicator precisely on the wheel hub’s edge, ensuring the probe is placed on the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge;
10) Adjust bolts around the motor's feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines. The deviation of the outer circle should not exceed an exacting 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft's center line is slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face deviation should remain between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts. Check and verify the runout of both the outer circle and the coupling end face.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving optimal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, proceed to firmly secure the anchor bolts. Following a mechanical or trial operation, it is crucial to first loosen, and then re-tighten these bolts to ensure continued stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, requires protection from any solid or liquid intrusions that could result in irreversible harm to the compressor. Thus, it is imperative to maintain immaculate cleanliness in the pipelines connected to the compressor, ensuring they adhere to the system's specified steam corrosion standards. Any non-compliant pipelines must be immediately rectified. It isrecommended to deploy solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed to expertly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines must be fitted with the specified accessories as outlined in the PI diagram, with the pipeline attached to the compressor supported independently by an additional bracket, ensuring the compressor body bears no undue weight.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its supportive equipment has been meticulously completed and the concrete has achieved its full strength, it's time to embark on the exciting phase of testing the compressor's operation. This stage will ensure that everything is functioning in perfect harmony, ready to deliver optimal performance for the complex task of handling ternary precursor wastewater treatment.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency, the compressor's electric control cabinet must be strategically placed within a 5-meter proximity to the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to this cabinet should be expertly assembled using threading pipes, designed to be discreetly installed underground. Once the cabinet is firmly positioned, it's essential to seamlessly integrate the wiring terminals inside the electric control cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable connection ready to manage the demands of advanced compressor operations.
