The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Ensure the compressor base is securely placed on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to adjust the unit level with precision.
Alternately position two wedge-shaped irons, and once the unit is leveled, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4~5 strategic points for stability. These wedges should be
custom-built and installed by the user according to specific conditions. The contact surfaces should be finely finished to ensure even contact across inclined planes.

3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling using a level. The unit requires an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.

3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is perfectly centered. Prior to starting the alignment process, confirm adherence to the following prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Extract the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is flat and free from any debris or contaminants;
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, allowing for loose adjustment of the motor;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to properly support the motor's feet. Ensure gaskets are clean and flat; avoid using any long, thin gaskets for base adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment tool with 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare the bracket necessary for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm (motor shaft line must be above the compressor's low-speed shaft line), with coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling for accuracy.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section after conducting a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Following the 'levelness' and alignment adjustments of the casing, anchor bolts should be tightened. Post-mechanical operation (or trial run), bolts must be loosened and re-tightened to ensure secure fastening.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component. Any foreign solid or liquid entering the impeller can inflict irreversible damage to the compressor. Ensure cleanliness of inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor, conforming to the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines failing to meet these standards require rectification. It is stronglyrecommended to install solid-liquid separation devices (like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the direct pipe at the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure import and export pipelines are equipped with necessary accessories per the PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be supported independently and must not exert weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Upon securing the main fan and its supplementary apparatus, and ensuring the concrete foundation has fully solidified, you are ready to initiate the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 Strategic placement of the compressor's electric control cabinet is key; it must be situated within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Use threading pipes for a seamless underground connection that runs from the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the cabinet is perfectly positioned, proceed to connect the wiring terminals inside the electric control cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a flawless integration and control of your system.
