The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an advanced and precision-engineered unit. It is primarily constructed of a robust compressor body that includes essential components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, it features a coupling, motor, and an electric instrument, making it a sophisticated piece of equipment designed for optimized performance and energy efficiency.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally onto the prepared foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims placed beneath the base to adeptly adjust the level of the unit, ensuring impeccable balance.
Carefully position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit achieves perfect leveling, secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points. These precision wedges should be
manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to fit the precise conditions of the setup. Ensure that the contact surface is impeccably finished to allow even
distribution of load on the inclined plane. Note that the wedge iron is designed to bear weights up to 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain the utmost precision in leveling. The unit demands exacting standards: an axial level at 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring a flawless operational foundation.
3.3.3 The art of alignment begins with centering the coupling. Prior to this, affirm the following mandatory steps:
1) Securely turn off the primary power supply;
2) Safely remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's central section;
4) Inspect the flatness of the motor installation plane to guarantee it is free of debris, dirt, and any obstructions;
5) Design the motor bolt hole to exceed the bolt size, allowing flexibility for bolt loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Amass an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to fit beneath the motor's feet. These gaskets must be pristine and perfectly flat, avoiding any long and thin inserts between motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or precision laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be acquired by the customer;
8) Assemble the required bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying illustration;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator to the wheel hub's edge, ensuring precision placement of the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the centers of the compressor and motor. Aim for maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face should measure between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts following alignment, then reevaluate both the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for assurance;;
12) After confirming alignment and achieving a successful motor idling test, proceed to reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving optimal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial runs, it is crucial to loosen and retighten the bolts for sustained reliability.
3.3.5 Recognizing the impeller as a high-speed rotating marvel, it is imperative to prevent any solid or liquid intrusion that could cause irreparable harm. Ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Any non-compliant pipelines need immediate correction. We highly recommend installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the compressor's inlet straight pipe.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure the installation of relevant accessories in accordance with the PI diagram. The compressor must not bear the weight of the attached pipelines; instead, support them with another bracket.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and any ancillary equipment are expertly installed and the concrete is fully cured, proceed confidently with the compressor operation test.
