MVR, an abbreviation for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, represents a pioneering energy-saving technology designed to significantly reduce external energy consumption by harnessing the potential of secondary steam energy. The innovative principle at its core involves the compression of secondary steam generated by the evaporator through a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process ingeniously transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an elevation of both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. Subsequently, this elevated steam is redirected back to the evaporator, where it heats materials and drives evaporation, thereby achieving a remarkable recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in the secondary steam.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is meticulously engineered to include a comprehensive assembly of vital components. These components encompass the compressor body, which itself comprises essential elements such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Additionally, the system is integrated with a coupling, motor, and sophisticated electric instrumentation, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.

Installation Instructions

3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation, put wedge-shaped shim under the base (used to adjust the unit level),
place two wedge-shaped irons alternately, after leveling the unit, and spot weld the wedge-shaped irons for 4~5 points. The wedge shall be
manufactured and installed by the user according to the actual situation, and the contact surface shall be finished (even contact of inclined
plane, and the bearing capacity of wedge iron shall not be greater than 40Kg/cm
2).
3.3.2 Use a level to find the level. The leveling requirements of the unit: the axial level of the unit is 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level of the unit is 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Coupling is centered. Before starting alignment, confirm the following requirements:
1) Turn off the main power supply;
2) Remove the coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Check the flatness of the motor installation plane to ensure that there are no stolen goods, dirt and attachments;
5) The motor bolt hole should be larger than the bolt size, so that the bolt can be loosened to adjust the motor;
6) Prepare enough stainless steel gaskets to cover the foot of the motor, the gaskets should not have attachments and should be flat enough. You cannot use long and thin gaskets to insert between the motor and the base for adjustment;
7) Use a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm (prepared by the customer himself);
8) Prepare the bracket for supporting the dial indicator as shown in the figure below;

9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is used for mounting a dial indicator on the edge of the wheel hub, and placing a dial indicator probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) By adjusting the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, the compressor and the motor center line are basically on the same line (or according to the corresponding instructions), and the maximum deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm (the motor shaft center line should be higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center line), coupling end face 0.03~0.05mm;

11) Finally, tighten the motor foot bolts, and review the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Install the coupling intermediate section after the motor idling test.
3.3.4 After adjusting the "levelness" and alignment of the casing, tighten the anchor bolts. After the mechanical operation (or trial operation), loosen the bolts and tighten them again.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high speed rotating component, and any solid or liquid entering impeller will cause irreversible damage to compressor. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected with compressor are clean and meet the requirements of steam corrosion grade of the system. Pipelines that do not meet this condition must be rectified. It is suggested to add solid liquid separation equipment (gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines shall be installed with relevant pipeline accessories according to PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor shall be supported by another bracket, and its weight shall not be supported by the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary systems have been expertly installed and the concrete base has fully cured to ensure maximum stability, it is time to move forward with the compressor operation test, ushering in a new era of efficiency and performance.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connectivity between the compressor and the electric control cabinet should be meticulously established using a threading pipe method, ensuring secure and reliable underground pathways. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, make sure to harmoniously link the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines extending to the remote DCS, creating a robust and cohesive control system.
