The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, featuring a meticulously designed compact structure. This cutting-edge system comprises the compressor body, coupling, robust gearbox, state-of-the-art lubrication system, reliable motor, precise electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its innovative design not only guarantees optimal performance but also simplifies maintenance, providing a seamless and hassle-free experience.
3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve precise leveling of the entire unit.
Alternate two wedge-shaped irons to ensure level adjustment. Once the unit is leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points for stability.
Manufacture and install wedges based on the actual setup. Ensure the contact surface is smooth for even pressure distribution on the inclined plane.
Ensure the wedge iron doesn't exceed a bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain the unit's precision. For the unit's axial level, maintain a tolerance of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
These parameters are crucial for optimal operation.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment by adhering to these prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor's installation surface is clean and free of foreign materials;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are larger than bolts, allowing room for bolt adjustments during alignment;
6) Prepare stainless steel gaskets, ensuring they are devoid of contaminants and flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) For precision, use a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which the customer should provide;
8) Have a sturdy bracket available to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Employ a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach the dial indicator, facilitating accurate measurement on the compressor wheel hub edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. The outer circle's max deviation should be 0.05mm, with the motor shaft higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft, and coupling end face tolerance between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and recheck outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling for optimal alignment.;
12) Once alignment precision is verified, install the intermediate section of the coupling after conducting a motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts firmly. Perform a mechanical or trial operation, then retighten the bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component. Prevent damage by ensuring inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are free of contaminants and adhere to the required steam corrosion grade. Rectify pipelines failing to meet these standards.It is highly recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Install inlet and outlet compressor pipes. Ensure import and export pipelines are fitted with necessary accessories following the PI diagram. Support the pipelines with separate brackets to avoid loading the compressor body with their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan along with its supporting equipment has been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached its full solidification, you are ready to embark on conducting the compressor operation test, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet, a crucial component of the compressor system, should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring from the compressor to this cabinet should be carefully threaded through protective piping, which is to be expertly laid underground for safety and durability. After positioning the electric control cabinet, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals inside the cabinet with the designated lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted operation.
