At its core, this technology operates on the principle that secondary steam, generated by the evaporator, is compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The resultant rise in temperature allows the secondary steam to be returned to the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and inducing evaporation. This cycle ingeniously recycles the latent heat of vaporization, ushering in a new era of energy efficiency.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising a robust compressor body, a reliable coupling, an efficient gearbox, an advanced lubrication system, a powerful motor, and an integrated electric instrument coupled with an anti-surge control system. Its compact structure ensures ease of maintenance, making it a convenient and reliable choice for modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Position the compressor base integrally upon its foundation. To ensure precise leveling, place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, utilizing them to finely adjust the unit’s level.
Arrange the wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedges by spot welding at 4 to 5 points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user based on specific situational needs, ensuring the contact surface is finely finished for an even incline contact.
The wedge iron's load capacity must not exceed 40 Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain the unit’s precision. The leveling standards required are: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure these precise measurements for optimal performance and efficiency.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous attention. Before initiating alignment procedures, ensure the following prerequisites are satisfied:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free of foreign objects, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Motor bolt holes must be slightly larger than the bolts to allow for convenient adjustments;
6) Prepare a sufficient number of stainless steel gaskets to adequately cover the motor foot, ensuring they are devoid of any attachments and maintain a flat profile. Avoid using long and slender gaskets for base adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, which should be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a supporting bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Use a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to place a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor foot’s adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines as closely as possible, keeping the maximum deviation of the outer circle to 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then review both the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling for conformity.;
12) Post motor idling test, install the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Following alignment and levelness adjustments of the casing, anchor bolts should be tightened. Post mechanical operation or trial runs, bolts should be checked and further tightened.
3.3.5 The impeller operates at high speed, thus any foreign solid or liquid ingress could irreversibly damage the compressor. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines are free from impurities and match the system's steam corrosion specifications. Rectify pipelines failing to meet these standards.Consider incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet’s straight pipe to safeguard operation.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure import and export pipelines are equipped with necessary accessories as per the PI diagram. The compressor-connected pipeline must be independently supported by an additional bracket to prevent undue weight stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its supplementary equipment have been skillfully installed and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, the compressor is primed for an operational test. This pivotal step ensures that all components are aligned and functioning seamlessly, setting the stage for optimal performance of the Dynamic Steam Compressor with Frequency Conversion for Wastewater Efficiency.
3.3.8 The sophisticated electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically placed within a mere 5 meters of the compressor itself. The essential wiring connection, meticulously housed within threading pipes, should be embedded underground for safety and efficiency. Post-installation, it is crucial to align and connect the wiring terminals within the electric control cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable control system for the Dynamic Steam Compressor, enhancing its capability to manage wastewater with unparalleled precision.
