The core principle revolves around the high-efficiency compression of secondary steam, produced by an evaporator, using a steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated steam is then cycled back to the evaporator, where it effectively heats the materials, inducing evaporation. This smart recycling taps into the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, creating a seamless and sustainable energy cycle.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, encompassing a meticulously designed compressor body, robust coupling, precision-engineered gearbox, efficient lubrication system, powerful motor, sophisticated electric instrumentation, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. Its compact architecture ensures ease of installation and operation, while its maintenance-friendly design simplifies upkeep, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the integral compressor base securely onto the foundation. Ensure stability by positioning wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Position two wedge irons alternately, and once the unit is perfectly level, spot weld these wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to specific onsite conditions. Ensure the contact surface is finished to achieve even contact across the
inclined plane. Note, the bearing capacity of each wedge should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure precision. The unit's leveling prerequisites are stringent: the axial level must achieve 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level should meet 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless alignment.
3.3.3 Achieve coupling alignment by centering. Prior to this, ensure the following preparatory steps are meticulously performed:
1) Disconnect the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for accessibility;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring no obstructions, dirt, or attachments are present;
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, allowing necessary adjustments by loosening the bolts;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's feet. These gaskets must be impeccably clean and perfectly flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Equip a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool with a precision of 0.01mm, as provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a support bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the subsequent illustration;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator on the wheel hub’s perimeter, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge;
10) By adjusting the bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle is no more than 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft, and the coupling end face deviation maintained at 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Lastly, securely fasten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for optimal accuracy,;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling intermediate section after successfully conducting the motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment have been perfected, tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical operation or trial operations, loosen and retighten these bolts to ensure enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a crucial high-speed element, and any intrusion of solids or liquids can cause devastating damage to the compressor. Thus, it is paramount to certify that the connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and adhere to the system's steam corrosion specifications. Any non-compliant pipelines must be immediately rectified. It is highlyrecommended to install solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the straight sections leading to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Accurately install the compressor’s inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring that relevant pipeline accessories are fitted as per the PI diagram. The supporting structure for the pipelines connected to the compressor must be independently braced, ensuring that no weight is borne by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan along with all its ancillary equipment are impeccably installed and the concrete has reached complete solidity, the stage is set for an exhilarating compressor operation test. This crucial trial ensures that everything is functioning to perfection, primed for peak performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. The essential wiring must be skillfully connected via threading pipe, carefully laid beneath the surface for protection and aesthetics. Once the control cabinet is firmly established, it is imperative to seamlessly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the distant DCS, forging a robust and reliable connection.
