Heat pump distillation is a revolutionary process that dramatically enhances efficiency by pressurizing and heating steam at the top of the tower to a higher grade using external power. This process turns the steam into a powerful reboiler heat source at the bottom of the tower, allowing for the optimal recovery of the latent heat of the steam at the top of the tower.
Direct compression heat pump distillation innovatively utilizes the tower top vapor phase as the working fluid. By employing an external steam compressor, it elevates the energy level of the vapor phase, making it a high-temperature heat source for the tower bottom reboiler. This method is depicted in the figure below and is generally ideal for separation systems that feature small temperature differences and similar boiling points between the tower top and bottom, ensuring efficient and effective operation.

Installation Instructions

3.3.1 Position the compressor base masterfully onto the foundation, introducing wedge-shaped shims beneath the base (to expertly adjust the unit's level).
Alternately place two wedge-shaped irons and, once the unit achieves perfect leveling, securely spot weld these wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points. Ensure the wedge is
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to specific conditions. The contact surface should be precisely finished to guarantee even contact on inclined planes.
The wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm
2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to achieve impeccable precision. Leveling requirements are stringent: the unit's axial level is 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Precisely center the coupling. Before proceeding with alignment, ensure the following criteria are met:
1) Disengage the main power supply for utmost safety;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield with care;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section diligently;
4) Assess the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring an immaculate surface free from debris or unwanted residues;
5) The motor bolt holes must exceed bolt size, enabling effortless motor adjustment when bolts are loosened;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets, ensuring they are free of any attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated gaskets for adjustment between motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an extraordinary accuracy of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Arrange a sturdy bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as depicted in the illustration below;

9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator on the edge of the wheel hub, positioning the indicator's probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By meticulously adjusting the bolts around the motor's feet, align the compressor and motor center lines to be virtually seamless, with a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line exceeds the compressor's low-speed shaft center line for optimal coupling face alignment of 0.03~0.05mm;

11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then re-evaluate the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout for precision;;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Upon achieving superior 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, vigorously tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation (or trial run), loosen the bolts for a final tightening to ensure robust stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed dynamo, is vulnerable to damage should any solid or liquid enter. Safeguard the compressor by ensuring inlet and outlet pipelines are scrupulously clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion standards. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines immediately. It is highly
advisable to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment (such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe to avert potential hazards.
3.3.6 Methodically install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adorn import and export pipelines with associated pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Additional brackets must support pipelines connected to the compressor, as the compressor body must not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Upon the successful installation of the main fan and its supplementary equipment, and once the concrete has set firmly, you are ready to commence the compressor operation test. This phase is crucial in ensuring that every component works in perfect harmony, paving the way for optimal performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet at a convenient distance of no more than 5 meters from the compressor. Ensure a seamless connectivity by using threaded pipes to channel the wiring underground. Once the control cabinet is securely positioned, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the distant DCS, ensuring a robust and efficient communication pathway.
