3.3.1 To ensure optimal performance, the compressor base must be integrally positioned on the foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims under the base, which are essential to achieve precise leveling of the unit.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons to maintain balance. Once the unit is level, secure the stability by spot welding the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 points. This guarantees a reliable foundation.
The wedge components should be user-manufactured and installed to perfectly fit your specific conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are finely finished for even contact of inclined planes and maximize efficiency.
Ensure the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to determine the unit's levelness precisely. The expected leveling standards are: Axial level at 0.05/1000mm and horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm, to ensure optimal alignment.
The horizontal level of the unit should adhere to 0.10/1000mm for precision.
3.3.3 Begin the coupling alignment process by ensuring these prerequisites are met:
1) Ensure safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield for accessibility;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to proceed with alignment;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness to ensure it is free from foreign particles, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts themselves for easy adjustment of the motor positioning;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to correctly stack under the motor feet. Ensure these gaskets are flat and free from any attachments, avoiding the use of long or thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Either a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy is necessary, which should be arranged by the customer;
8) Set up the supporting bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the figure;
9) Attach the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to the hub's edge and position the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for precision;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. The outer circle's maximum deviation should be 0.05mm, and ensure the motor shaft's center line is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Alignment tolerances are coupling end face 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten all motor foot bolts and check the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for accuracy;;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling's intermediate section post motor idling test for finalized setup.
3.3.4 Upon achieving precise 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, it's critical to firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After completing the mechanical operations or trial runs, re-loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller is a crucial high-speed rotating component. Any solid or liquid intrusion can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. Thus, it is vital to ensure that all connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Unqualified pipelines must be corrected immediately for safety.It is recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe section at the compressor inlet to protect the system.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure all relevant pipeline accessories are fitted in accordance with the PI diagram. The pipelines connected to the compressor should be independently supported by separate brackets, as the compressor body is not designed to bear their weight.
3.3.7 Upon the successful installation of the main fan and its auxiliary equipment, coupled with the complete solidification of the concrete base, you are now ready to proceed with the compressor's operational testing. This marks a critical milestone in ensuring the performance and reliability of the Integrally Geared Fan Compressor.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and convenience, the compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The electrical connection from the compressor to the control cabinet should employ threading pipes, preferably routed underground. Once the cabinet is securely installed, ensure that the wiring terminals within are systematically connected to the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) lines, establishing a robust and efficient control network.
