MVR, standing for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is a groundbreaking energy-saving technology. By ingeniously reutilizing the secondary steam energy it produces, MVR tremendously cuts down the need for external energy sources. At its core, this technology works by compressing the secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevates the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam, and then channels this enhanced steam back to the evaporator. As a result, it heats the materials and facilitates further evaporation, achieving a brilliant recycling of the latent heat of vaporization from the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is ingeniously designed to include a robust compressor body, a durable coupling, an efficient gearbox, a reliable lubrication system, a powerful motor, sophisticated electric instruments, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. Its compact structure is specifically engineered for ease of maintenance, ensuring seamless operation and longevity.

Installation Instructions

3.3.1 The robust compressor base is designed to be integrally placed on the sturdy foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims to achieve perfect leveling of the unit. Ensure these shims are strategically positioned under the base.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately for optimal support. Level the unit meticulously, spot welding the wedge-shaped irons securely in 4 to 5 points for stability. These wedges should be
crafted with precision by the user to meet specific requirements. The contact surface must be finely finished to guarantee even contact across the inclined plane, ensuring maximum bearing strength.
The load-bearing capacity of the wedge iron is crucial and should not exceed 40Kg/cm
2). Ensure durability and consistent performance.
3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling using a high-quality level. The unit’s leveling parameters demand an axial level accuracy of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
This meticulous leveling ensures optimal operational efficiency.

3.3.3 Center the coupling with utmost precision. Prior to alignment, adhere to the following crucial steps:
1) Ensure safety by turning off the main power supply.
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access internal components.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for thorough inspection and adjustment.
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane for flawless flatness, ensuring no foreign materials, dirt, or debris.
5) Guarantee that motor bolt holes exceed bolt size for easy motor adjustments by loosening bolts.
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to adequately support the motor’s feet. Gaskets should be pristine, without attachments, and uniform. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets for motor-base adjustment.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, which should be customer-provided.
8) Construct a stable bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as depicted in the accompanying illustration.

9) For motor wheel hub mounting, use a bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, allowing the probe to gauge the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge.
10) Fine-tune adjustment bolts around motor feet to align the compressor and motor center line precisely, adhering to the guidelines. Keep the outer circle deviation minimal at 0.05mm, ensuring motor shaft center line is slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Maintain coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm.

11) Securely fasten motor foot bolts, re-evaluate outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for optimal alignment.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section. This confirms reliable operation.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of the casing’s 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After conducting mechanical operation or trial operation, relax the bolts and re-tighten them to ensure unwavering stability.
3.3.5 The high-speed impeller is a critical rotating component. Careless entry of any solids or liquids can inflict irreversible damage to the compressor. Therefore, ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines connecting to the compressor are meticulously clean and compliant with the system’s steam corrosion grade standards. It's imperative to rectify pipelines that do not meet these conditions. We highly
recommend integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Install the compressor’s inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Ensure that all import and export pipelines are equipped with the appropriate accessories as delineated in the PI diagram. The pipeline linked to the compressor must be supported independently by an additional bracket, ensuring its weight is not borne by the compressor body, safeguarding its structural integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has fully set, you're ready to embark on the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is functioning optimally, setting the stage for smooth and efficient performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor, ensuring seamless connectivity. Use threading pipe to guide the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet, which should be discreetly routed underground for an unobtrusive appearance. Once the electric control cabinet is securely installed, proceed to connect its wiring terminals to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a flawless integration for superior control and performance.
