3.3.1 To begin the installation of the compressor's robust base, position it carefully on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims to finely tune and adjust the unit's level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 points.
These wedges should be custom-made and installed by the user, tailored to fit the specific requirements. Ensure the contact surface is flawlessly finished for even contact of the inclined plane,
and remember, the wedge iron's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve precision in leveling by employing a high-accuracy level. The axial level precision of the unit should be 0.05 per 1000mm, while the horizontal level precision is set at 0.10 per 1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensuring perfect alignment, the coupling must be precisely centered. Before you start the alignment process, verify the following critical steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely switched off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is impeccably flat, free from any debris or contaminants;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size to allow for easy adjustment of the motor position by loosening the bolt;
6) Gather an ample number of stainless steel gaskets to secure the motor feet. These gaskets must be pristine, without any attachments, and ensure they are completely flat. Avoid using long or thin gaskets between the motor and base.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm precision (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare a stable bracket as illustrated below to support the dial indicator;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, and place the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines meticulously, maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm (motor shaft center should be higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center). The coupling end face should be 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Finally, secure the motor foot bolts and check both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling to ensure alignment precision.;
12) Post-successful motor idling tests, install the coupling's intermediate section seamlessly.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment have been finely tuned, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. After initial mechanical operation, it's crucial to loosen and then retighten them for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component, and any intrusion of solids or liquids can inflict irreversible harm to the compressor. Thus, ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines connecting to the compressor are diligently cleaned and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must undergo immediate rectification.For enhanced protection, consider integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram to install the necessary pipeline accessories. Ensure any pipelines attached to the compressor are independently supported by another bracket, as the compressor body itself cannot bear their weight.
3.3.7 After the installation of the main fan and its auxiliary equipment is complete, and once the concrete has fully set, you can proceed with the compressor operation test. This ensures that all systems are solidified and ready for optimal performance evaluation.
3.3.8 Ensure that the electric control cabinet for the compressor is strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be meticulously threaded through underground piping. Once the electric control cabinet is properly situated, establish a seamless connection between the wiring terminals and the lines from the remote DCS to guarantee a stable and effective operational setup.
