This revitalized steam is then cycled back to the evaporator, where it plays a crucial role in heating materials and instigating evaporation. The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, incorporating a range of sophisticated components, including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This innovative design boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operational efficiency, making it a prime choice for modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally positioned on the foundation. Place a wedge-shaped shim beneath the base to adjust the unit's level.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedge irons at 4 to 5 key points. The wedges should be
custom-made and fitted by the user according to specific needs, ensuring a seamless contact surface. This guarantees even distribution of the load across the
inclined surface, ensuring the wedge iron's weight holding capacity does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize precision leveling tools to ensure meticulous leveling of the unit. The axial precision must be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level precision must achieve 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 The coupling must be meticulously centered. Prior to alignment, ensure these essential prerequisites are met:
1) Disconnect the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the protective coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's middle section;
4) Assess and clean the motor’s installation plane for any debris or dirt that might affect flatness;
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are slightly larger than the bolts to allow for necessary adjustments;
6) Have ample flat and clean stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's feet. Avoid using thin or extended gaskets for leveling.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment tool with 0.01mm accuracy, sourced by the customer;
8) Set up a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to accurately place a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring precise measurement.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet carefully, aligning the compressor and motor center lines. The maximum permissible deviation is 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft.
11) Secure the motor foot bolts firmly, then recheck the coupling's outer circle and end face runout.;
12) Conclude with the installation of the coupling's intermediate section post motor's idle test.
3.3.4 Post alignment and leveling of the assembly, fasten the anchor bolts. After mechanical testing, loosen and re-tighten them to finalize stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, must remain free of solids or liquids to prevent damage. Ensure connected pipelines are pristine and meet steam corrosion system standards, rectifying any that don't.For added protection, consider installing solid-liquid separation devices like gas scrubbers before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Secure the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes in accordance with the PI diagram, using additional support brackets to bear the pipeline's weight independently from the compressor.
3.3.7 Once the grand installation of the main fan and its supplementary equipment reaches completion, and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, it's time to embark on the compressor operation test. This crucial stage ensures optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For seamless functionality, position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor. Utilize threading pipe for a secure, underground connection from the compressor to the cabinet. After strategically placing the electric control cabinet, meticulously connect its wiring terminals to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a flawless integration.
