3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the compressor base onto the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust and perfect the unit's level.
Place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once the unit is precisely leveled, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific scenario. Ensure the contact surface is impeccably finished, providing even distribution across the inclined
plane. Note: The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not surpass 40 Kg/cm².2..
3.3.2 Achieve perfect leveling using a precision level. The unit's axial level must adhere to 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level requirement is 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure meticulous attention to these specifications for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Precisely align the coupling. Prior to commencing alignment, verify the following prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Safely remove the coupling shield to access the necessary components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with care;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it's devoid of any debris or obstructions;
5) The motor's bolt holes must be slightly larger than the bolts themselves, allowing for smooth adjustments;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets ready. These must be flawless and free of attachments. Avoid using gaskets that are overly lengthy or slender.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or precision laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be procured by the customer.
8) Prepare the indicated bracket to support the dial indicator effectively, as depicted below;
9) The motor hub mounting bracket facilitates the mounting of a dial indicator, placing its probe expertly on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is above the compressor's low-speed shaft line, and maintain an end face runout between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts, then reassess and refine the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) After a satisfactory motor idle test, reattach the coupling intermediate section with precision.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment are optimized, secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 With the impeller spinning at high speed, prevent any solids or liquids from entering, as these can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. Maintain cleanliness along the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor, ensuring they comply with the system's steam corrosion grade. Rectify any non-compliance. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Confidently affix the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for installing relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipeline connected to the compressor is independently supported by another bracket; its weight must never be borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all supplementary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete base has achieved full solidity, you are ready to initiate the operation test of the compressor. This crucial step ensures that every component functions seamlessly, setting the stage for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet, a vital component of the compressor's operation, must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. To maintain an organized and safe setup, the wiring connection from the compressor to this cabinet should be expertly threaded through an underground conduit. Upon securing the cabinet in its designated position, ensure a flawless integration by connecting the wiring terminals within the electric control cabinet to the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) lines, thereby guaranteeing seamless communication and control.
