The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is an engineering marvel comprising a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure, ensuring easy maintenance and seamless operation. This meticulous assembly of components makes it an indispensable asset in the realm of steam compression technology.
3.3.1 For optimal performance, place the compressor base seamlessly on the foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure the unit is perfectly level.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in a staggered pattern. Once the unit is leveled, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The user should manufacture and install the wedge according to the specific conditions, ensuring the contact surfaces are precisely finished for even contact.
Ensure the inclined plane is fully engaged, and remember, the bearing capacity of each wedge should not exceed 40Kg/cm.2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ascertain precision leveling. The unit's axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm for optimal balance.

3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling centering. Prior to alignment, ensure the following conditions are met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety.
2) Detach the coupling shield to access necessary components.
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for better alignment.
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for flatness; ensure it's free from debris, dirt, and any attachments.
5) The motor bolt hole must be larger than the bolt to allow for loosening and adjustment of the motor.
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets for the motor feet; they should be clean and entirely flat, avoiding long and thin gaskets between motor and base.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm precision (to be provided by the customer).
8) Have a bracket ready to support the dial indicator as illustrated below.
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for placing a dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines, maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then review and ensure the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling are within specifications.;
12) Once the motor idling test is successful, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving alignment and 'levelness' of the casing, secure the anchor bolts tightly. Post mechanical operation or trial run, re-tighten as needed.
3.3.5 The impeller, being a high-speed component, must be protected from foreign solid or liquid intrusions as they can cause irreversible damage. Ensure the connecting pipelines are clean and meet the required steam corrosion standards.It's advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Carefully install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure all pipelines are equipped with necessary accessories according to the PI diagram, and independently supported to prevent weight stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached complete solidification, it is the perfect moment to proceed with the compressor operation test. This decisive phase ensures the system's readiness and optimal performance.
3.3.8 The compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5m radius from the compressor itself. For seamless connectivity, the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet must be expertly threaded through pipes, discreetly routed underground. Upon securing the electric control cabinet in its designated place, the next crucial step involves connecting the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless communication setup.
