The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering precision, featuring a comprehensive assembly that includes the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. With a compact structure, it ensures effortless maintenance and optimal performance, making it an indispensable addition to any industrial setup.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be securely placed on the foundation, ensuring stability and support by incorporating wedge-shaped shims beneath the base. These are essential for precise leveling.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, expertly spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 points. This ensures durability and stability.
The user should manufacture and install the wedges tailored to the specific situation, guaranteeing a perfectly finished contact surface for optimal support.
Ensure even contact on the inclined plane, with the wedge iron bearing capacity capped at 40kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Achieve precise leveling of the unit using a high-quality level. For maximum efficiency and performance, adhere to the stringent leveling criteria: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Precision in coupling is paramount. Before initiating alignment, ensure the following critical requirements are thoroughly met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to guarantee safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section meticulously;
4) Ensure the motor installation plane's flatness is impeccable, free from any debris, dirt, or attachments that could compromise performance;
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed bolt size to facilitate smooth adjustments, allowing the bolts to be loosened for precise motor alignment;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets for the motor's footing. These gaskets must be devoid of attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid using long or thin gaskets that could disrupt optimal adjustment.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter, boasting a high accuracy of 0.01mm, sourced by the customer for precision measurements;
8) Secure the bracket, as illustrated, to support the dial indicator, ensuring stability and accurate readings;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for precise alignment;
10) Through astute adjustment of bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines, with maximum deviation capped at 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated compared to the compressor low-speed shaft center line, and maintain coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, performing a meticulous review of both the outer circle runout and the coupling's end face runout for perfection.
12) Post motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section, ensuring seamless performance.
3.3.4 Once 'levelness' and alignment are adjusted to perfection, fortify the installation by tightening the anchor bolts. After initial mechanical or trial operations, retighten bolts for enhanced security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a critical high-speed component, must be safeguarded against any solid or liquid intrusion. Such incursions could irrevocably damage the compressor. Thus, it's vital to maintain cleanliness in the inlet and outlet pipelines, ensuring compliance with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Any non-conforming pipelines demand immediate rectification. Consider implementing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for additional protection.
3.3.6 The installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes requires meticulous attention. Ensure adherence to the PI diagram for installing all relevant pipeline accessories. Importantly, pipelines connected to the compressor need external bracket support, avoiding reliance on the compressor body to bear the weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supporting equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete has achieved complete solidification, you can proceed to conduct the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is in optimal working condition before full-scale operations commence.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring connecting the compressor to the control cabinet should be routed with precision through threading pipes, discreetly placed underground. When the electric control cabinet is perfectly positioned, ensure seamless integration by connecting the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines extending to the remote DCS, creating an efficient and cohesive system.
