3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base directly onto the prepared foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base; these are vital for adjusting the unit's level.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points to secure them in place. These wedges should be
custom-made and installed by you, tailored to your unique setup. Ensure the contact surfaces are expertly finished for even contact across the inclined planes, and the bearing capacity of each wedge should
not exceed 40 Kg/cm² to maintain structural integrity.2.
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to achieve the desired alignment. The unit's leveling specifications are stringent: the axial level must be within 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level must adhere to a 0.10/1000mm precision. Such accuracy ensures optimal performance.
3.3.3 Precise alignment is crucial. Before initiating the alignment process, ensure the following prerequisites are meticulously met:
1) Completely disable the main power supply to avoid any electrical hazards;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield to gain unobstructed access;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate adjustments;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor's installation plane for any debris, grime, or foreign objects that could impede alignment;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing for necessary loosening to make precise motor adjustments;
6) Have a sufficient supply of stainless steel gaskets ready, ensuring they are devoid of debris and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets for inserting between the motor and base as they do not allow for fine adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter, achieving a precision of 0.01mm (to be provided by the customer);
8) Prepare the specified bracket for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is essential for positioning a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the dial indicator probe rests on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts until the compressor and motor center lines align closely (following specific guidelines), ensuring the outer circle's maximum deviation is limited to 0.05mm (the motor shaft center must sit slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft center), with coupling end face discrepancies kept between 0.03 and 0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts. Recheck the runout of the outer circle and the coupling's end face to ensure compliance with specifications;.
12) Once verified and tested through idle motor operation, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving the perfect 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, meticulously tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial run, remember to loosen and retighten them for assured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, is vulnerable to damage from any solid or liquid intrusions. Ensure that the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines are impeccably clean and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines immediately. It's highlyrecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor's inlet straight pipe to prevent contamination.
3.3.6 Securely install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram precisely to fit the necessary pipeline accessories. Ensure that the pipelines connecting to the compressor are supported by independent brackets and are not burdening the compressor body with their weight.
3.3.7 Following the successful installation of the main fan and its supportive equipment, and after ensuring that the concrete has fully set and reached optimal solidity, you are ready to initiate the compressor operation test. 3.3.8 For optimal configuration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself.
