3.3.1 Begin your installation by positioning the compressor base securely onto the foundation. Enhance the stability by placing wedge-shaped shims beneath the base—these are crucial for achieving an impeccable unit level.
Arrange the wedge-shaped irons alternately to guarantee precision. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, ensure stability by spot welding the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. It's imperative that these wedges are
custom-made and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions of your setup. The contact surface should be meticulously finished, ensuring a seamless interface on the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed an impressive 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain the exact alignment of the unit. Here are the stringent leveling standards you need to meet: The axial level precision is 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level accuracy must be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Optimal Coupling Centering: Prior to commencing alignment, adhere to these essential prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power supply for utmost safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield with diligence;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section carefully;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane thoroughly, ensuring it is devoid of debris, grime, and any attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt dimensions, enabling easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets, perfectly clean and flat. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for adjustment between the motor and its base;
7) Arm yourself with a dial indicator or a precision laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, acquired by the customer;
8) Prepare a robust bracket as depicted in the figure below to support the dial indicator;
9) Secure the motor wheel hub mounting bracket, pivotal for positioning a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, and ensure the dial indicator probe is on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune the adjustment bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines meticulously (or adhere to specific instructions), ensuring the maximum outer circle deviation is 0.05mm. Note, the motor shaft center line should be slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face deviations between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securing the motor foot bolts, meticulously rechecking the outer circle runout along with end face runout of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of both the casing's levelness and alignment, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. After the mechanical test run, revisit and re-tighten the bolts for enduring stability.
3.3.5 Given the impeller's role as a high-speed rotating element, it is critical to avoid traces of solids or liquids entering it, as these could inflict irreversible damage on the compressor. Thus, confirm that the inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are immaculate and comply with the system's steam corrosion standards. Pipelines falling short of these standards require immediate rectification. Moreover, it's advisable toimplement solid-liquid separation solutions (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe to prevent potential damages.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure accompanying pipeline accessories are mounted in line with the PI diagram. The pipelines should have external support brackets, as the compressor body should not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and all associated ancillary equipment have been expertly installed and the concrete foundation has reached complete solidification, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
3.3.8 For seamless integration and efficient operation, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to this control cabinet must be meticulously managed through threading pipes, which should be installed underground for enhanced safety and durability. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, proceed to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a reliable communication and control pathway.
