3.3.1 Begin by securely positioning the compressor base onto the foundation. To achieve optimal unit leveling, place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately, achieving the perfect level before spot welding the irons at 4 to 5 points. Each wedge must
be crafted and installed with precision by the user, tailored to specific requirements. Ensure the contact surfaces are expertly finished for even distribution of load.
Each wedge iron should not bear a weight exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level tool to precisely determine the unit's level. Adhere to these leveling specifications: axial level at 0.05/1000mm,
and horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm, ensuring flawless precision.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect alignment by centering the coupling. Prior to beginning alignment, verify these essential steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off.
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield.
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling.
4) Assess the motor installation plane for cleanliness; ensure it's free from debris and contaminants.
5) The motor bolt hole should be ample, providing the flexibility to loosen and adjust the motor seamlessly.
6) Have a sufficient supply of pristine stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foot base. Avoid using mismatched or thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an impressive precision of 0.01mm. The customer should provide this equipment themselves.
8) Ready the supportive bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the provided schematic.
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket is essential for accurately positioning a dial indicator on the compressor's wheel hub edge.
10) Adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet so that the compressor and motor center lines align flawlessly. Keep the outer circle deviation under 0.05mm, with a slight elevation of the motor shaft center line over the compressor low-speed shaft.
11) Secure the motor foot bolts tightly, then verify the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts.;
12) After a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment are finely tuned, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operations, loosen and re-tighten for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component; thus, safeguarding it from any solid or liquid intrusion is paramount to preventing compressor damage. Ensure the connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine, adhering to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Non-compliant pipelines require urgent modification. Consider integrating solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, prior to the compressor inlet to maintain optimal cleanliness.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram specifications for relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure the compressor is free from the weight burden of the connected pipelines, which should be independently supported.
3.3.7 Following the installation of the main fan and its ancillary equipment, and once the concrete has thoroughly set, initiate the compressor operation test for performance validation.
