MVR, an acronym for Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is an innovative energy-conserving technology that significantly reduces the need for external energy by ingeniously reutilizing the secondary steam energy it creates. The fundamental principle of this remarkable technology lies in the secondary steam, produced by the evaporator, being compressed by a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process skillfully converts electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an increase in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This temperature elevation seamlessly returns the secondary steam to the evaporator, effectively heating the materials and inducing evaporation. Consequently, this cycle masterfully recycles the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, promoting an efficient and sustainable process.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is meticulously engineered and comprises a comprehensive assembly of components, including the compressor body with its volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seals. Additionally, it features a coupling, motor, and sophisticated electric instrumentation. This harmonious combination ensures optimal performance and reliability in diverse operational environments.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base securely on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims to finely adjust the level of the entire unit.

3.3.2 Use a precision level to achieve accuracy. Requirements for leveling: the unit’s axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve precise coupling alignment. Before initiating the alignment process, make sure to:
1) Safely turn off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane for flatness. Ensure it's free of debris, dirt, and any unwanted attachments.
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts to allow loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Have an ample supply of flat, attachment-free stainless steel gaskets ready. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, prepared by the customer;
8) Ready the bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket to install a dial indicator on the compressor hub's outer edge for precision alignment;
10) By adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, ensure the motor and compressor's center lines align, with a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm and end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Secure the motor foot bolts firmly and reassess the alignment accuracy of the coupling's outer circle and end face;;
12) After successful motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to complete the installation.
3.3.4 Following the 'levelness' and alignment adjustments, tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten them to ensure lasting stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, is sensitive to solid or liquid intrusions, which can cause severe damage. Thus, verify that the inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and adhere to the steam corrosion standards of the system. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines. Consider implementing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure all import and export pipelines are fitted with necessary accessories per the PI diagram. Pipelines must be supported by separate brackets to avoid placing undue stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential auxiliary equipment are perfectly installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, it's time to proceed with the operational test of the compressor. This step is crucial in ensuring that the system is ready to deliver optimal performance.
3.3.8 For seamless operation, the electric control cabinet for the compressor must be positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection between the compressor and this control cabinet should be meticulously established using threading pipes that run underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, the next step is to seamlessly integrate the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a cohesive system.
