The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering that comprises several key components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an anti-surge control system. Its design is characterized by a compact structure that guarantees ease of maintenance and operation. 3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly integrating the compressor base onto the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims under the base, essential for achieving unit level adjustment.
Skillfully alternate two wedge-shaped irons, ensuring precision. Once the unit is level, firmly spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points to secure stability.
The manufacturing and installation of the wedge is the responsibility of the user, tailored to the actual site conditions. Ensure a finished contact surface for even pressure distribution on inclined planes.
Bear in mind that the load capacity for each wedge iron should not exceed 40 Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a high-precision level gauge to ensure perfect leveling. Adhere to the following standard: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm are imperative.

3.3.3 Coupling precision is key. Prior to alignment, confirm these crucial prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off to maintain safety;
2) Gently remove the coupling shield to allow for unhindered access;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling with care;
4) Assess the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring no foreign objects, dirt, or residues are present;
5) Verify that the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing for fine-tuning adjustments by loosening bolts;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to perfectly support the motor foot. Gaskets must be spotless and perfectly flat; avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, as supplied by the customer;
8) Set up the bracket required to support the dial indicator using the figure provided below as a reference;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to affix a dial indicator on the wheel hub edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer boundary;
10) Fine-tune the adjusting bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor centerline precisely. Ensure a maximum deviation of 0.05mm at the outer circle (motor shaft centerline should be above the compressor low-speed shaft), and maintain a coupling end face alignment of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude the process by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, followed by a meticulous review of the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Conclude with the installation of the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test.
3.3.4 Following the successful leveling and alignment of the casing, anchor bolts must be tightened. After initial mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten the bolts for absolute stability.
3.3.5 Remember, the impeller rotates at high speeds, and solid or liquid ingress will irreversibly damage the compressor. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are spotless and comply with the steam corrosion grade standards of the system. Pipelines falling short must be promptly rectified. For enhanced performance, consider integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet.to safeguard your operation against potential damage.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for incorporating relevant pipeline accessories. Crucially, pipelines must be independently supported by separate brackets, as their weight should never burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supplementary equipment are firmly in place, and the concrete has reached its full strength, you can proceed to perform the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the reliability and efficiency of the system.
3.3.8 To guarantee optimal functionality, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet must be securely routed through threading pipes that are placed underground, safeguarding against external elements. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly situated, establish connections by linking its wiring terminals seamlessly to the remote DCS lines. This integration is vital for achieving seamless communication and control.
