The DM Series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering and efficiency, thoughtfully designed to include several critical components. Central to its operation is the compressor body, seamlessly integrated with a coupling, gearbox, and advanced lubrication system. The inclusion of a state-of-the-art motor, alongside a sophisticated electric instrument and an anti-surge control system, ensures optimal performance. Its compact structure not only enhances its operational efficiency but also simplifies maintenance, making it a convenient and indispensable tool for modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base meticulously on its foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve a perfectly balanced unit.
Place these wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is precisely leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4-5 points, ensuring stability.
These wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific circumstances. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for even contact along the inclined plane.
The wedge iron must withstand a bearing capacity no greater than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to perfect the alignment. Stringent leveling standards are required: The axial level precision should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should maintain 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous alignment. Prior to commencing, adhere to these crucial preparatory steps:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety.
2) Detach the coupling shield with care.
3) Disassemble the diaphragm coupling’s middle section.
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is flat and devoid of debris, dirt, and attachments.
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size for easy loosening and adjustment.
6) Stock sufficient stainless steel gaskets for motor foot coverage, ensuring they are clean and flat. Avoid using elongated gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, specially procured by the customer.
8) Secure a bracket for dial indicator support as depicted in the accompanying diagram.
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, placing its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. Limit the outer circle deviation to 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated above the compressor low-speed shaft center line. Maintain coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts for precision.
12) Once the motor idling test is satisfactory, reinstall the coupling’s middle section.
3.3.4 After adjusting and aligning the casing, fasten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, retighten the bolts to ensure continued stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, must be protected from foreign solid or liquid substances that could inflict irreversible damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and conform to the system’s steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines must be corrected promptly.It is recommended to install solid-liquid separation devices, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet’s straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for the inclusion of relevant pipeline accessories. The pipelines must be independently supported by brackets to avoid any weight burden on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment are firmly installed and the concrete has fully solidified, you can proceed with the thrilling compressor operation test. 3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure seamless connectivity by threading the wiring through a pipe that runs underground, ensuring durability and protection. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a seamless integration that enhances your control and management capabilities.
