The Oil-Film High-Speed Direct Drive Steam Compressor is a marvel of turbine technology, powered by a high-efficiency permanent magnet motor. Its groundbreaking design features an impeller directly mounted on the motor's shaft extension end, with the rotor being expertly supported by an oil film bearing. This ingenious configuration allows for direct drive by the high-speed motor, elegantly eliminating the need for cumbersome speed increasing boxes and couplings. This streamlined approach not only enhances performance and efficiency but also marks a significant evolution in compressor technology, offering robust and reliable solutions for industrial needs.
3.3.1 The compressor base is meticulously placed on a solid foundation. Underneath, strategically position wedge-shaped shims to achieve impeccable unit leveling.
Interchange two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring the unit is perfectly level. Secure these irons by spot welding at 4 to 5 points.
Users are encouraged to design and install the wedge according to specific site conditions, ensuring the contact surface is smoothly finished for even engagement with inclined surfaces.
It is crucial that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm2.).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level for accurate measurements. Unit leveling criteria: an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm.
Maintain horizontal precision within the limits of 0.10/1000mm for flawless operation.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment, keeping in mind the following essential preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is safely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield, exposing the necessary components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for thorough inspection;
4) Ensure the motor installation plane is impeccably flat and free of any debris, dirt, or unwanted attachments;
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, enabling bolts to be loosened for motor adjustments seamlessly;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet, ensuring they are free from debris and uniformly flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a meticulous accuracy of 0.01mm (procured by the customer);
8) Prepare a secure bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to mount a dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately. Ensure the maximum outer circle deviation remains at 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated over the compressor low-speed shaft center line; coupling end face tolerance is maintained at 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Firmly tighten the motor foot bolts, re-evaluate the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling to ensure precision.;
12) Post motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of the casing's levelness and alignment, it is imperative to tighten the anchor bolts. Subsequent to mechanical operation or trial runs, loosen and retighten these bolts to secure the setup.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, is susceptible to damage from foreign solids or liquids. Guarantee that the compressor-connected pipelines are clean and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade. Rectify non-compliant pipelines, and consider integrating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet straight pipe, to safeguard against damage.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes meticulously. Ensure that import and export pipelines are equipped with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipelines should be independently supported by a separate bracket, preventing any undue weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its supplementary apparatus have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, the compressor is primed and ready to undergo its operational test. This marks a crucial step in ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet should be strategically situated within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection between the compressor and this control cabinet must be established through a threading pipe system, carefully routed underground for protection and efficiency. Once the cabinet is securely positioned, it's imperative to connect the wiring terminals inside the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring comprehensive integration and functionality.
